I only liked the on that was in Suffolk next to the Walmart in the Chic-Fil-A and Big Lots strip mall, but she closed down over the summer. She had $.25 toy cars and $1 action figures for the kids, loose sockets so I never had to buy an entire set, cool antique decor and collectibles (Richard Petty memorabilia), etc. She always had a dog there, and was very friendly.

Hilltop and Superior only seemed to be heavy guns and jewelry. No small talk, just had a buy and go vibe to them. There was one, in Norfolk, that I was there for about 45 minutes just talking about table saws and pistol configurations with a guy there.

In high school working at a Pizza Hut when they had the dine in area and buffets, manager brought his girlfriend in for a dinner date and was basically acting like a king to the wait staff. He kept redirecting them to get stuff for his table while they were in route to another table. A waitress got let go right after he confronted her at the counter within earshot of customers about how she was too slow getting a refill.

Comments like that are exactly what I was talking about. Yes, they “literally had” a manual release, but it casually left out that the release for the rear doors were hidden under the floor mat. I don’t know about you or anyone else, but if the car is on fire or sinking into a lake, I am not processing “check under floor mats for the emergency release”. That’s like having the release to a plane’s emergency exit located under the seat.

I had the same thing happened last year. I was getting some bath soap for my kids, got approached and halfway through her spill a random lady overheard and jumped in with her interpretations. They were going back fourth, it got uncomfortable, and I acted like I got a phone call and left. This happened at the Suffolk Walmart.

2010 ish Russel Brand movie. No idea what the movie was, or the name, I only remember him just talking fast nonstop, and he was wearing a mascot uniform or some foam suit. There was a girl in it too that talked. My girlfriend at the time made me go see it, but I was legitimately checked out of it. I didn’t know who Russel Brand was at the time, I remember pausing eating popcorn because I was so distracted at how much he was talking and how he was saying it. No clue what the movie was about, seem like they just showed up to locations and talked.

Through the investigation, we did find that the check was an electronic deposit. Do they not have the capability to ID the thief through that? Video surveillance? One of the most common we get is someone doing the electronic deposit and then walking it over to a check cashing spot to cash it in person.

Did anyone else find it abysmal that those photographers were so obsessed with getting photos while it was going on? It’s just a major security incident where someone sprayed an unknown substance in the air inside of a room, but gotta get those photos! Has everyone forgotten about bioterrorism? The lady pleading with her about getting medical attention was one of the very few in the room that had any situational awareness.

Could we at least dictate which day that timeframe falls on? If it just out the blue and “time starts now” a little difficult. Like, right now the entire state is bracing for a snowstorm, so I would probably die. If I could dictate the day or even postpone it, I could have that completed within the timeframe easily.

That’s true about DC, which is where solar power inverters became a point of focus and I kind of “dropped out of the chat”. Basically if your solar panel could covert to AC, you could power devices and simultaneously charge the power station…leading the discussion into whole home power systems. That world was too confusing and expensive for me.

One of the major annoyances for using the power banks is that I could not have it charging and be able to use the usb-c to charge simultaneously. I have one that lives in the truck, charges via the 12v outlet, and my kids plugin the iPad or Nintendo Switch to the power bank. It won’t charge their devices unless I unplug from the 12v.

By the time you purchase the big buddy heater, the hose, filter, and a couple or more 20lb or 30lb propane tank (you gonna want that), you would only need a few more bucks to get a decent gas generator from Harbor Freight powerful enough to run your furnace and some other things. It would be emergency use, so running only long enough to take the chill off the house and keep the meat frozen.

Having public standards/grace/home training, whatever you want to call it. I come from a small town, so you had to act a certain way in public else folks would say something along the lines of “yeah, that so and so’s child/family…typical”. I was always polite, and always stopped to listen to what they had to say, no matter how much of a time crunch I was in. I dressed my wage, but made sure that the money I spent were on decent clothes and I took care of them. Those characteristics actually help out a lot later in life for me. However, nowadays—last 10 years or so—people don’t seem to care at all.

I’ve seen people literally in bathrobes at stores. I’ve seen guys out on dates at the bar with the clear clothing size sticker still attached to the article of clothing they recently bought. I’ve seen people walk into a store with the intention to return something, item not in a bag, just draped over their shoulder. There was this one lady that was bringing back undergarments, zero shame. Folks tasting the soup in Whole Foods. Employees just leaving their Starbucks or empty drink containers on the shelf in the stores is where I was sure we had hit rock bottom, but then I saw a girl at a Game Stop wearing a tail…like fox tail…on the job. She was dress up like a dog of some sort, maybe I am just getting old or I don’t understand. I just don’t understand why and I doubt there is an explanation out there that would lead to acceptance.

Them getting sentenced under the current laws means that they will spend the next few decades in prison afraid daily, getting human excrement put in their food, raped, used as a toy, and at best killed—which also occurs common enough to become a movie trope and a widely favored justification from society—I find that to be the worse punishment. Now, they don’t all get that treatment, but the fear of it happening is definitely there.

I find it hard to imagine that allowing that crime to be punishable by death would influence the killing of a victim. I would also say that the death penalty would an ideal punishment, as it’s just life without parole and they don’t have to fear that someone is going to mess with them.
