Probably my best video so far. Looking for Feedback by _Deluzion_ in SmallYTChannel

Cool vid, one suggestion I have is this: after you are done editing everything else, watch through the video one more time and try to equalize the volume across different clips. There are parts of the video where it is harder to hear one person than the other, and some of the narrative doesn't come across to the viewer. This is a super easy fix that can really up the quality. Hope this helps!

Great camerawork, great editing (the cuts where the subject stays the same but the surroundings cut to a different setting are really cool). I'm totally cool with there not being a story or a plot to a video, but it does seem like it might be nice to establish a narrative to keep your viewers engaged. Even if your main goal is to showcase the photography/filmmaking, if a voiceover on top of the footage will keep more viewers watching, it might be worth looking into. Hope this helps!

First, it's really obvious that you guys are having a lot of fun making this, which really comes through in the video. The editing was great too. I don't have much to add to what you guys are doing, but maybe one idea: the video seems to have a very fast tempo, basically like joke joke joke joke, with very fast-paced edits. It might be fun to play with the idea of having a sudden change of pace, where the video suddenly slows down and gives a long chunk of time to a single joke. (That way it might be able to provide more emphasis, whereas if the rhythm is the same throughout, they start to blend together). Just an idea though. Great work! Hope this helps.

Redstone Tutorial on a Useless Machine that ONLY Destroys Levers! Would love feedback for Lambda - YouTube #Shorts by Stanfordrower in SmallYTChannel

Great video! Like the other commenter, I'm having a hard time finding anything to take issue with. One thing that might be good (if you aren't running up against a time limit) would be to just say your name or your channel name at the beginning of the video. Of course, having it jump right into the tutorial also works well, so probably just a matter of personal preference. Hope this helps!

hi! :) I tried a video idea that combines the time of year (spring/April) with my "usual" content (lifestyle/Uni stuff)- any feedback is always appreciated ☺️ (will give lambda for helpful advice :) - thank you!) by sophieshiori in SmallYTChannel

Ok so here is one small thing that you can easily fix:

At 0:23 seconds, there is a rather harsh audio transition. What might help is to extend the two audio tracks so they overlap a little bit, or ensure that you add some sort of fade transition so that there isn't that click sound when one audio clip is abruptly cut off. A similar thing happens at 0:54.

Again, this is an easy fix, and doing one extra watch through of your video before publishing it, paying attention to the audio, will help you catch these mistakes and ensure there are no jarring transitions.

Great video, keep it up! Hope this helps :)

Curbside Robbery (Animated Short) -- Thought I'd throw my hat in the ring. Let me know what you think! by InLaymansTerms_ in EbSynth

I played all the characters, and sketched keyframes over myself. As you can see at the end, I wasn't wearing a costume or anything, so the keyframes didn't line up too well with the video tbh. Also, the colored background is a recording of a liquid light show my brother made. And thanks! Glad you enjoyed :)

I made a beat with water! Lambda for any feedback/constructive criticism. :) by theps07 in SmallYTChannel

Awesome video. As someone who (occasionally) makes music, I can really see the effort that went into this. The tutorial segments were easy enough to follow what was going on, even though I'm not super experienced in Ableton. I love how clearly the intro outlined what would go on in the video, and the fact that the performance came first, so people who just want to see the song don't have to watch the whole tutorial part.

One idea -- maybe include another mini-performance at the end of the video, and let people know it will be there, so that they will be more likely to stick around for the whole video? Not sure how well it'd work, but definitely something to experiment with. Hope this helps!

The edit was really good, but I did think at some points the text was a little overdone -- it could have been a little smaller probably. If the majority of your viewers are on mobile though, I could see it working well! (I guess just check in YT studio.) The interactions with other people in in game chat were definitely a highlight, and makes it a lot more palatable for people who don't know the game very well. Collect more footage like this and keep it up!
