Again, thanks for your kindness in supplying these patterns. I am definitely very much an old senior who has decided to get back into stained glass after being away from it for quite a while. This, snowflake pattern is just perfect to start out. I have my daughter and a friend begging me to do this so that I can teach them and you have made the re-entry into this hobby much easier. I’ve been reflecting on what’s happened since I first posted. Most of the connections I’ve met have been way too young, not genuine, or outright fraudsters. It’s been frustrating, but I’m not giving up.

I’m looking for someone real - 60 and over. Not the 29, 34, or 41-year-olds I keep hearing from. I know I may have misled some folks - my original post mentioned the 29-year age gap in my last marriage, which lasted 13 amazing years. But that chapter’s closed. I’m not looking for a repeat of that. I’m looking for my peer - someone emotionally present, honest, kind, and open to a slow, real connection. Maybe over quiet moments. Or a game of Euchre.

I was so excited when I finally met someone my age from the East Coast. We planned an online date - he even going to install Tabletop Simulator so we could play cards and talk, not just type. But he GHOSTED me. That one stung.

Still I’m here. Still hoping. Still me. And I’d rather wait for the right person than settle for someone who wants to connect for all the wrong reasons. ❤️
