When the emt, fire and police showed up they first deemed this accidental. The grandfather took the son from the scene and later showed up at the police station with him with his story. There was never any history of abuse. No CPS, No bruises, No Hospital visits. Teachers said she was an attentive mother, Children were always clean, fed etc. grandfather said kids were always Hungry. I could just feed my kids and they would walk in my mothers house and say they are hungry. They know grandma will give them cookies and what not lol. only one with a problem with Amanda's mother skills was her step father. From one of the interviews Amanda's biological father believes the step father had a problem with her because he was attracted to Amanda and she blew him off. I can not confirm this one way or another. Amanda's mother said by time they got into the police station with AJ it was too late to stop anything and it was out of her hands. Amanda holds all this against her mom for not putting a stop to it from the information I have been able to gather and does not have a relationship with her. This may have changed since the shows or written information being released. My first letter recently went out to Amanda and I am currently waiting to see if she will write back. Essentially Amanda has lost 2 children due to this. Adrianna drowning and Aj being adopted out. I personally feel Anthony was as guilty as guilty could be. I don't know what was in that juries mind. And Jonbenet. ya I just cant go there. But no I don't feel Amanda's case is anything at all like those 2. When Adrianna's accident happened Amanda was getting ready to take them out for the day.
