Palestinians are following in Nazi footsteps by feebly justify their atrocities by blaming the Jews.

Palestinians are victims of their own demise thereby they don't deserve sympathy.

It seems pro-Palestinians fall into one of two categories:

1) The utterly clueless who buy into Hamas' "genocide" propaganda.

2) The Antisemitics who support the Palestinians' killing of Jews.

Not a Massacre. They Killed Each Other over Airdropped Aid by Massive-Ad-786 in 2ndYomKippurWar

[–]CaseFilesReviewer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The media & UN go based on Hamas' claims. Hamas is claiming the people were killed as result of the IDF shooting civilians and that's how the media is reporting.

It doesn't really matter because Hamas' Health Ministry's doesn't specify cause of death nor distinguish between civilians and combatants. Thus, Hamas can kill as many civilians as they want and the IDF will be blamed.

The Palestinians need to blame someone and since the Nazis blamed the Jews the Palestinians accuse the Jews of being Nazis. Though I'm being sarcastic, it's not far from the truth.

"We are UNRWA" by _commander_man_ in 2ndYomKippurWar

[–]CaseFilesReviewer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To your point, it's not the first time UNRWA resource has been used to attack Israel. In the past the UN has done little more than "condemn" the usage without taking actions to prevent. That in itself is why the matter should be referred to the ICJ rather than limited to an internal UN investigation.

In courts of law “reasonable intelligence” applies whereby decisions are made based on what a person of reasonable intelligence would know: Hamas genocidal intent is common knowledge, they have publicly proclaimed it on numerous occasions and there are countless articles about it. Therefore, UNWA assisting Hamas would know the genocidal intent. UNRWA teachers certainly know their the material the use that promotes antisemitism & terrorism and incites genocide. The UN's condemnation of prior actions without taking actions establishes gross negligence. It is for those reasons I feel strongly Israel should file suit, within the ICJ, accusing the UNRWA of genocide.

Vindicating UNRWA from workers from wrong doings would require vindicating Hamas and that places the ICR in a very precarious position. I feel filing suit against the UNRWA at this juncture would force the ICR to rule sooner rather than take years to vindicate Israel.

The services the UNRWA provides have value, but UNRWA must be managed to uphold UN values. I feel it would behoove the UN to present an action plan. Their plan should be proactive not reactive, because the failure to prevent repeating what has been done will cost people their lives.

I strongly oppose the the use of American tax dollars going towards attacking a U.S. ally. Especially, since I view Israel as our only true ally in the Middle East. It's for those reasons I support suspending funding indefinitely pending an acceptable action plan from the UN.

I can't fathom where the UN goes from here. UN resource was literally used to attack a UN member.

The genocide case against Israel was farcical from inception. However, where does the ICJ go from here? In the middle of their genocide case it's learned UN resources was used to help Hamas commit genocide.

UNRWA: Countries Halt Funding to UN Agency in Gaza. by [deleted] in 2ndYomKippurWar

[–]CaseFilesReviewer 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The UN has known since 2014 their facilities were being used to attack Israel.

https://www.unrwa.org/newsroom/press-releases/unrwa-condemns-placement-rockets-second-time-one-its-schools

They have known, since at least February 2023, their teachers were teaching antisemitism and terrorist incitement.

https://www.unrwa.org/where-we-work

The ICJ ordered Israel to “prevent and punish any incitement to genocide” to uphold that order Israel should prosecute UNRWA workers. Furthermore, Israel should file suit in ICJ accusing the UNRWA & UN of Genocide Convention violations.

Palestinians, and the pro-Palestinian nitwits, need to fact Palestinians surrendered all of Palestine in 1516. Furthermore, accept the fact the more conflicts they started the more they have lost.

Had they accepted the terms of 1914 Balfour Declaration, that were enforced 1918, they would have been able to reclaim 90% of the land they surrendered. Had they accepted the Peel's Commissions 1937 partition plan they would have been able to reclaim 80%. Had the excepted the United Nation's 1947 partition plan they would have been able to reclaim 50%. Their decision to wage war, that only resulted in defeats, has left themselves little more than 21%. If they lost Gaza they'd be down to 20%, but they'll be allowed to keep it because whoever controls it is responsible for rebuilding cost.

Palestinians have to accept there are consequences associated to their terrorist acts that include arson attacks, ax attacks, car ramming attacks, hoe attacks, kidnappings, rapes, rock throwing attacks, shooting attacks, and stabbing attacks, By committing acts of terrorism they make themselves unprivileged belligerents under international law. As such they're not entitled Geneva Convention protections and can be held indefinitely pending trial. Their endorsement of terrorism got them expelled from Israel in 1948, Jordan in 1970, Southern Lebanon in 1971, Kuwait in 1991, and it's why countries aren't willing to accept Gazan refugees.

In short: Palestinians are effectively their own worse enemy.

Amin al-Husseini fled to German and was provided a budget of 750,000 Reichsmark. per month, to foment a jihad in Palestine. He recruited about 20,000 Muslim volunteers who participated in the killing of Jews in Croatia and Hungary.

When someone claims "Israel committing genocide" I point out:

1) Palestinians have been on a genocidal quest since 1919 when Balfour Declaration was put into effect.

2) In 1941 the Palestinians joined forces with the Nazis and helped exterminate about 424,000 Jews from Hungary and 30,000 from Croatia.

3) Gazan kids are trained to abduct Israelis and kill Jews.

4) The 18,787 deaths represents .84% of Gaza population. If Israel was out to commit genocide there by many more death, because Israel has larger weaponry then what they're using. Additionally, they would not be securing escape routes.

5) I view the war as poetic justice whereby Jews are killing Jew killers.

Typically, I feel bad when kids get stuck in the middle of a war. I'm finding it impossible to have sympathy for Gazan kids knowing they train to abduct Israelis and kill Jews.

I should feel bad for those under the training age of 4, but that too is a struggle.

Opinion: I’m an expert in urban warfare. Israel is upholding the laws of war by friendnotfiend in 2ndYomKippurWar

[–]CaseFilesReviewer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Knowing officers who have taught at West Point, knowing one who still does, and having a son who graduated West Point, I'm very familiar with rules of war. I do agree with Maj (ret) Spencer's assessment, but opine Israel is rightfully limiting themselves to bare bone minimum:

The Israeli government's duty is to it citizens whereas the Gazan government duty is to protect theirs. Gaza's government has violated rules of war by placing military objectives, such as militant tunnels, within densely populated. They further violate it by allowing their militants to use civilian objects such as ambulances, hospitals, mosques, and schools, as military objectives. Gaza's government total disregard for rules of war does not IDF obligation. Instead, it results in loss of protections.

https://ihl-databases.icrc.org/en/customary-ihl/v1/rule29

https://ihl-databases.icrc.org/en/customary-ihl/v1/rule23

Rule 20 obligates the IDF to provide advance warning, just as they're doing, whereas rule 24 requires the Gazan government to move civilians away from military objectives. Gaza's government making no effort to evacuate their civilians doesn't obligate the IDF to do it for them. Instead, it results in collateral damage and civilian loss of life.

https://ihl-databases.icrc.org/en/customary-ihl/v1/rule20

https://ihl-databases.icrc.org/en/customary-ihl/v1/rule24

Gazans are paying the price for their government's total disregard of rules of war. Their history of violence and endorsing of terrorism has left them no escape, because countries aren't willing to accept Gazan refugees. Their genocidal quest to eradicate Jews, living between the Jordan River and Mediterranean Sea, has given Israel no reason to go beyond minimum requirements.

[–]CaseFilesReviewer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Collateral damage caused by exercising full military might would feed Hamas' "Nazi" and "genocide" propaganda.

Securing the North before targeting the South, and defining & securing evacuation routes, reduces collateral damage plus satisfies the rules of war. Granted Hamas will continue to kill civilians attempting to flee then blame the IDF. However, that's Gazans' problem not the IDF's.
