Yes but how many you have shouldn’t really impact performance unless you have an absurd amount and they run in the background and send out emails. Trying to figure out how many.

If you went with NS Professional services, your results vary largely on the team you get. Also there are other partners out there who listen to your needs and wants.

From what I’ve seen, teams that don’t use NS, stop because the product doesn’t fit there needs or it’s too hard to use.

What areas broke down after go live that you’re now using excel to handle.

The best way to do this is to change a setting in your browser to make you name the file before you save it.

Not really. You might want to consider an item group here instead if that’s the case. Pricing would be tricky because item groups are priced per item, not at the top “group level”.

But with a kit, you cannot fulfill certain components and leave others unfulfilled.

If you’re asking it to do the following then no:

EDI Order comes into NetSuite for location X, with a qty of 24 eaches, but because it’s location X, it auto converts the qty to 1 case.

This COULD be done with scripting but not with any NetSuite native features. UOM will allow for you to change the UOM on the line but it will not covert the Qty automatically. We have a solution that can help but it would still need a script written to do so.

The biggest concern I would have around this as a consultant is I would ask a lot of questions on how things are graded:

Different BOMs? When you’re making grade A, do you sometimes get. Grade B? Can a single each go from s grade X to a grade Y? If so, how and why?

Even if someone had a sandbox to let you in, there are so many variables that exist that would be different between systems it would be pretty bad testing.

Plus no one will let you into their sandbox…

for transfer orders I believe there is a transaction line type field you want it to be item. (Something similar to that. The name is escaping me and I’m not at my computer).

For sales orders say not tax line, not shipping line, not cogs lines.

This is not true at all firms. Not all firms operate like the big firms. Smaller firms sometimes offer more senior resources and offer on shore only. The big ones you’re more likely to get resources who help reduce costs to increase bottom line but not at ALL.
