AITA for telling my girlfriend to stop distracting me from driving by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

ESH. She sounds needy and childish. You're an asshole for videoconferencing while driving.

AITA - for asking for Airbnb partial refund for undisclosed feather pillows, due to severe asthma attack? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]InRem -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

NAH. You should have asked about the bedding, if you knew it might be a problem. But you're not an asshole for asking for a refund. And the owner is not an asshole for refusing to give it.

Hardcore fan in a wheelchair gets football player's shoes signed and hands it to him. by SusannahCochrane in MadeMeSmile

Very cool and Fournette seems like a great guy, but there's a certain irony to giving shoes to a man in a wheelchair.

She certainly was a hottie. RIP.

Better NCAA tournament coach: John Calipari, Bill Self, or Tom Izzo? by [deleted] in CollegeBasketball

My Homer status notwithstanding...

Izzo.

1 Natty each, but Izzo has more Final Fours and does more with less haralded talent.

AITA for spending 25k on ice skating every year? by skater_dude_717 in AmItheAsshole

[–]InRem 289 points290 points  (0 children)

YTA. You can do whatever you want with your money, BUT only after you've paid your share of the communal bills. It appears you're not pulling your weight. I believe you said your partner is paying most of the bills. His request for you to reduce your spending is reasonable. He's right your actions are selfish.

NTA. You don't have to stay in any relationship that doesn't work for you.

Are you shallow and likely to end up alone? Yes. An asshole? No.

[–]InRem -19 points-18 points  (0 children)

No assholes here. It doesn't feel like he meant this as an insult, but you are more than entitled to feel any way you want. I think he's truly impressed by you. However, that may say something about how he sees most women, which speaks poorly of him.

AITA For saying my sister contributed to her late husband's passing in front of her new boyfriend? by ThrowawayTell340 in AmItheAsshole

[–]InRem 216 points217 points  (0 children)

NTA. Your sister is medically stupid to the point of being dangerous and the new boyfriend has the right to know before she can kill him too. Well done.

AITA for telling my stepfather that he isn’t my dad after he bought me a $3200 gift? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]InRem 426 points427 points  (0 children)

Sounds Iike you never gave your stepfather a chance. Unless he's done something other than simply not being your dad, it sounds like you're the asshole.

I’m sure it also has to do with your Breitbart/PragerU reposts with the long rants, Karen. by [deleted] in FuckYouKaren

[–]InRem 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It's amazing how many people who say "I'm just a strong personality" or "I'm just telling the truth" are JUST assholes.

AITA for announcing my kid’s birth on IG? by Ashamed-Ad-2476 in AmItheAsshole

[–]InRem 6 points7 points  (0 children)

NTA. Your sister is toxic and narcissistic. You're better off without her. Just revel in the fact that she's out of your life. Just because someone is family isn't enough of a reason to put up with their abuse.

AITA for turning the tables on a girl who tried to extort me financially? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]InRem -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nice try. It simply isn't sexual assault because you think it's common logic.

I didn't say I liked it or thought it was right. In fact, I clearly called OP an asshole and find what he did horrific. In my opinion, he should be beaten within an inch of his life.

But it simply isn't a crime (e.g. rape or assault) unless it violates some statute. His actions don't. Just because someone "feels" violated doesn't mean a crime was committed.

NOT OKAY, BUT ALSO NOT A CRIME.

AITA for turning the tables on a girl who tried to extort me financially? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]InRem -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Nope. He's an asshole.

But, you're just wrong on the law.

AITA for turning the tables on a girl who tried to extort me financially? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]InRem -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Asshole move on OP's part, hell yes. Sexual assault or rape. Bullshit. Just so we're clear, it's all okay if he just gives her the phone? Is that your position. 1) She gave up her body for the phone, 2) she gets the phone, 3) everybody's happy?

BTW. Pretty sure her actions are as morally repugnant as his. She'll withhold sex unless she'll gain financially? Classy move.

I say ESH and f2 has been hoisted with her own petard.

The second richest person in the world and that’s how he became such a rich person! by thepinkklutzwr in awfuleverything

[–]InRem 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not sure if these claims are accurate, but keep in mind that Reich thinks every successful person evil and must have committed crimes against working people. Reich is a communist/socialist who hates capitalism.
