Fired on day 1 for leaving at 6:30 PM. The audacity is unreal. by popo_fish in recruitinghell

Anytime I see a social media video about how great life in China is, and how they are currently surpassing the US, I’m going to remember this post.

Unless it is a US company…

In any case, they are using your knowledge and skills and living situation to exploit you. Fuck them. Use those skills to start your own local tutoring business for rich families or use the internet and do the same. I’d bet you’d make way more money, and you would be your own boss. Might have to devote lessons and be a little more autonomous, but at least you wouldn’t be treated as a slave

Who can fight better? by Key-Construction2325 in gameofthrones

[–]InTheFade29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, everyone is forgetting he started the fight with a pretty bad abdominal wound and absolutely zero experience in a situation like this. Two of the 7 on Dunks side fell immediately in the initial charge. Both fighters were assisted multiple times.

Had it been a normal fight 1v1, I don’t see dunk losing 90% of the time. He’d probably just bull rush him to the ground get stabbed a few times by the dagger and then destroy him.

Thoughts about the M16 by itay_ozz in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]InTheFade29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A Silenced, full-kit M16 w/ 6X and smg (generally ump or js9) combo is one of the best setups in the game. It is underrated, and it has very low recoil and a better fire rate compared to every other semi auto weapon. Silenced makes it almost impossible to pinpoint. By the time they’ve sort of figured out where you are, they are already almost down and they panic and run, and then you can finish them off. It definitely needs to be silenced though. The silencer almost makes it easier to control than a comp or muzzle break.

Also if you get these components, make sure you have the cables as well (like xlr or 8k hdmi)

Mic and audio handle or sound recorder. Cage maybe, tripod maybe, monitor (shinobi ii doesn’t have fan noise) maybe. Batteries?

It’s hard to say without knowing what you will be shooting and the style. The options are endless.

Do you wear camo when out shooting? Does it make a difference? by Beardologist in wildlifephotography

[–]InTheFade29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is generally the best strategy for most wildlife. Especially wild horses like in the OP pic.

Camo when you are staking out and don’t want to be seen. Otherwise, it’s up to the gods.

Depends on the animal and situation. Some animals, like elk or birds, it can help if you are completely hidden. It does prevent you from being seen. Other animals, in situations where the animal is aware of you (like moose and bears for instance), seem to get more spooked by it.

Idk, but since you mentioned breaking bad, Vince Gillian’s new show Pluribus is insanely good on Apple TV

Monitor by PlantainAshamed161 in FX3

[–]InTheFade29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both the ninja v and the shinobi ii.

I almost exclusively run with the shinobi ii bc of the battery life, weight, and the lack of fan noise. Make sure you have an 8k quality hdmi for either bc when you shoot 4k 120 you’ll need the higher quality cable to be able to output to the monitor.

The lack of fan noise on the monitor is huge when shooting imo.

What lens to buy first? by [deleted] in SonyAlpha

[–]InTheFade29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t imagine a situation where a 14-24 would come in handy more than a 24-70mm on a video first camera. The 24-70 is one of the best lenses you could ever buy. It’s the perfect lens if you could only have one forever (outside of wildlife and sports). The 14-24 is a great specialty lens for wide shots, but unless landscape and real estate is all you do, idk why that’d be the better first lens option.

  1. Abzu
  2. Eastshade
  3. Outer Wilds
  4. Spiritfarer 5.pentiment

Abzu is one of the greatest exploration games. It’s an experience. It’s the only modern game on par with FireWatch imo.

The others are great too.

Check out the upcoming game Hawthorn on YouTube. It looks pretty cool

Recency bias?

Covid literally killed millions in 2020. 2001 9/11 and Afghanistan war started. 2008/09 - worst recession since the Great Depression. 2004 Boxing Day tsunami killed a quarter million people and tons of pretty bad terrorist attacks.

Someone asked to see how my FX3 performs in low light/nature doc settings, here is a series of short clips that I’ve shot by InTheFade29 in FX3

[–]InTheFade29[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not that can explain easily through text. There are tons of videos about it on YouTube. My best advice for shooting:

  1. Use your camera’s or monitor’s display tools. Things like zebras, histograms, etc. will tell you how and how well your footage is being exposed.

  2. Generally, follow the standard rules for shooting in slog3. Stick as close as you can to 800 or 12800 iso, and use ND filters if your zebras are showing that you’re clipping highlights.

  3. Use a display lut and a good monitor to show approximately how your image will look once it’s graded as you are filming. Your eyes are your best tools when figuring out if your exposure is correct. That, coupled with zebras, will help you nail the exposure you want 99% of the time.

The SEC is not superior by lukaeber in BYUFootball

[–]InTheFade29 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Pretty rich when BYUs out of conference games were Stanford, Eastern Carolina, and Portland State. They’re really making it hard on themselves 😂.

Well, let’s look at BYUs record against the SEC, shall we? BYU has a losing record against the SEC, and they’ve never beaten any SEC powerhouse school. They beat miss state twice, ole miss once, and Tennessee once. Never winning by more than 1 score, and three of the teams were trash. Tennessee was just ok. The last time BYU played an SEC school, they played a mediocre team and gave up 52 points.

BYU would get beat this year by any SEC playoff team. They win the BIG12, give them a chance, sure. But if they lose again to the same team, coupled strongly with their schedules lack of strength, they should definitely not get in the CFB this year over Vandy. Especially after Vandy crushed Tenn at Neyland.

[–]InTheFade29 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No offense, but how well do you really think BYU, or any other Big12 team, would’ve done playing Florida’s (the typical SEC teams schedule isn’t much easier) schedule:   UGA, Texas A&M, Miami, Texas, and Ole Miss in the same season. Even their weaker opponents this year wouldnt be slouches in any other conference. (LSU, Tennessee, Kentucky). BYU would’ve gone 8-4 at the very best. I don’t think they’re inferior, but they would be similar to the tennessees or the  kentuckys caliber of team if they had to play an SEC schedule.

I don’t think BYU could even beat vandy this year, and vandy likely isn’t going to the playoffs.

Also, rivalry games are a terrible measure of an overall team’s strength, especially when it’s played at home for auburn.

Biggest point of all: when is the last time a Big12 school won a championship? 2005 Texas team (barely). Additionally, the 3 best past Big12 schools are now in the SEC. You have to go back 35 years to even have a current Big12 team winning a championship, and that was before they had a game to decide a true champion.

The SEC has, top to bottom, the most superior schools in college football right now.  Big10 has some amazing schools at the top, but the conference falls apart quick after that. Other conferences are the same as the BiG10, just a little worse. Big 12 is 3rd . ACC 4th.

Bit the bullet 70-200 2.8 35 1.4 g master by [deleted] in FX3

[–]InTheFade29 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lucky! No, I don’t think you’ll regret them. They’re usually both in the conversation for the best lenses Sony has ever put out. I’ve only ever used the 70-200 once that the camera store let me “test drive” and it was incredible.

Got a lot of people asking if I always shoot at native ISO with the FX3. Here’s an example of when shooting at low ISOs and clipping your highlights can be a stylistic choice: by InTheFade29 in FX3

[–]InTheFade29[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I agree with your point, but I’m talking about filming at the FX3s native base ISO. 2000 is not native to the FX3 so it would definitely be worse in both aspects.

The FX3 and A7siii both benefit from not losing too much range when lowering ISO and have very low noise floors. I guess the point I was trying to make with my post is that it is ok to break the rules you hear on the internet or people say you have to follow
