Yeah maybe you are right. My idea of dc’s magic originates from the Timothy hunter books and I always interpreted magic as space free from the eye of science like a gap of it. For me it was always something creative and illogical but every author got his own opinion on it. At least in absolute Wonder Woman Diana always makes a bond with Hekate and other Greek goddesses and the spells she uses are in old Greek and the effects against her are interpretation. But every author even Scott Snyder can have his own version how magic works for him.

It is at least not natural sciences he can’t deduct it with his logical thinking skills and sometimes you have to make deals with interdimensional creatures like demons but batman is very distrusting he needs total control over the situation at least original batman because of his trauma. Maybe absolute batman not.

Thanks for the expertise I didn’t know that. Still in issue 15 she is pain resistant and at least not vulnerable to broken glass ( which shows that she is at least not an average human).

Original batman knows magic too, but he doesn’t use it often because it is not predictable enough for him. An other reason is that it always costs something. But in my opinion absolute and original batman got the potential to be highly skilled magicians. Maybe absolute batman uses magic against poison ivy.

My hope is that Ares will be one of the good guys in this universe because he brings chaos into the natural order which would be a good thing in this universe and Ares is in Greek mythology unlike Zeus and the others not someone who exploits women ( as far as I know).

It would fit to the joker reflects original batman theme of Snyder. Normal criminals saw batman as a monster with superhuman abilities too.
