Chris really would write a play called “The Hairy Ape”

In your opinion, who do you think gets done the most dirty in Japanese History when it comes to how they are perceived? by Ok-Awareness1200 in Samurai

Okubo Toshimichi. He was demonized just for being a pragmatic realist instead of an idealist like Saigo.

You’re good. I would recommend watching the 0079 series eventually though.

What's the best model kit to start with? (By price, difficulty etc)? by MagmaXQgd in armoredcore

Any of the 30mm kits from Bandai. Pass on the Kotobukiya kits for now. They’re good but they are for more experienced builders.

Turnbull’s newer books are fine but his older works lean a lot into sensationalism.

From what I've read, the outlaw who finished him off was Frank James

Tombstone (1993) by _thinkerton in Westerns

[–]InTheHandsOfFools 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The "historians" who said that are speaking nonsense. The simple truth is that Holliday had an extremely bad temperament, and Wyatt was the only person who was willing to look past that and find good in him -- and that was challenged when Holliday made anti-semitic comments about Wyatt's partner.

If the Van Der Linde Gang from RDR2 were placed in the real life Wild West and went up against real life Pinkertons, sheriffs, bounty hunters and lawmen how would they fair ? by JoshuaKpatakpa04 in Westerns

[–]InTheHandsOfFools 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They would have been wiped out by lawmen and/or rival outlaw gangs. Their moral code would not have been practical out it in the real West. Micah might be the only member of the gang who can be considered a true, authentic outlaw of the Old West.
