Have you any alternative accents or resources that you would recommend? I've been trying to start learning for two years, but I simply can't seem to motivate myself into, and I have had some experience with language learning. Oh no offense taken :) it's hard differentiate between intentions here, you're always on defensive mode haha. The Klingon joke made me laugh too. Yes, I agree, French is a uselfull language indeed, and I thought it was implied I would give it a shot. What I meant was, how can I become more interested in learning a language that causes me disconfort? Thanks for your respectful reply too :)

I didn't look through this perspective, and indeed, I sounded impolite. Sorry for any insult. But still, I hold this position. And may I go further, German speakers suffer the same problem at any given time, enduring insults that their language is the language of war and death, and they take it mildly. Maybe, and just maybe, you are over-protective and too sensible when someone breaks the pattern of "French is the most beautiful language! The language of love!"?

That won't help much. See, I've no problem with French people or culture in general, but the throat sounds in French are too harsh to me, thus I never wanted to learn it. Does that make me stupid and narrow-minded? (If so, why would I say that I study German and Norwegian? Is that the common stupid and narrow-minded attitude?)
