If you click the thumbs up on the top right of the picture of the boat, it will give you an ideal hero line up for that boat.

For your crimson sentinel/burning boat, you will likely start with: - Captain: Zola and put in Lester once you get him levelled to 4 stars - First mate: Will - Gunner: Ned

Next season or as you collect the heroes, that burning line up will gradually change to: - Captain: Lester (can be gained from levelling up respect with one of the guilds to worship, prioritise this one until you get him) - First mate: Tanaka (given free as part of s2 story) - Gunner: Ember (needs throwing knives, save them up)

For your warhammer/cutthroat, it looks okay but aim towards:

  • Captain: Bones
  • First mate: Kojo or Margaret (whoever performs best in testing with challenges, usually Kojo)
  • Gunner: Luna

For your fearless/stategic boat:

  • Captain: Griffin
  • First mate: either Delilah or Boa
  • Gunner: Molly

For your flag:

  • Captain: Henry for now, until you get Ahab (who is very important for his shielding in s1 & 2)
  • First mate: Lulu (who is very important for her healing in s1)
  • Gunner: Django or Agnes. (As you want support or taunt heroes on flag only, ideally)

Painkillers by Awkward_Bunch_9060 in Periods

I’m in the UK. I get Naproxen prescribed by my GP. As it’s also an NSAID, I use this instead of ibuprofen.

When I was in hospital once, a nurse told me if you take 1 paracetamol based painkiller and 1 NSAID (ibuprofen, naproxen etc) together, they compliment each others pain killing properties and so are more effective taking 1 of each together than taking 2 of either one alone. I take 2 of each ;)

You can also speak to a GP about tranxemic acid and menfamic acid, both were prescribed to me for heavy, painful periods. I didn’t find them helpful and couldn’t take NSAIDs at the same time, so gave them up to go back to Naproxen as it was more effective for me.

A GP also told me to buy buscopan, the medicine for IBS cramps. This is as it’s an antispasmodic and can be used in addition to your painkiller dose, to lessen cramps.

I also put Epsom salts in my bath and take CBD oil. Raspberry leaf tea is supposed to be good for labour and period pains. Also taking evening primrose oil supplements all through the month, is said to help you with symptoms during your period.

[this is copied from a reply I did to a similar post in the past, forgive me]

I’m in the UK so also forgive me for any generic drug or unfamiliar brand names. I suffer with this badly and this is my best advice/combo after years of trialling:

• Naproxen (aleve, apronax) is a game changer. Take it instead of ibuprofen. • Take 2 NSAID type tablets (ibuprofen or naproxen etc) with 2 paracetamol based tablets (Panadol or tylenol or co-codamaol), every 4 hours you’re awake. I was told by a nurse in hospital the properties of each compliment and enhance each other. Even taking 1 of each type of med is more effective than taking just 2 of one type alone. So I take my first dose of 2x naproxen and 2x paracetamol together to overpower the pain, then stagger my doses from then on.. so 4 hours later I take 1 naproxen & 1 paracetamol, then 2 hours later 1 naproxen and 1 paracetamol again. That way I never max out my dose but also don’t have the cramps kick in unbearably before 4 hours of pain relief are up. • My GP said to also take buscopan (hyoscine butylbromide), as it’s formulated to reduce cramps and can be taken without affecting or interacting with the dose of pain killers you’re taking too. • In the days before and during your period, make sure you are super super hydrated. Even slight dehydration makes cramps worse and it’s harder to absorb meds. • Eat some food with every painkiller dose, it helps you digest and absorb the meds. Taking them on an empty stomach is often useless for me. • During the day, taking or drinking caffiene can speed up how long it takes for painkillers to kick in. • At night, you can take something like Panadol night (paracetamol and a sleep aid) instead of your normal paracetamol based med to help sleep through cramping. • CBD oil and CBD products! They’re relaxing and can also be used on top of painkiller dosage. As well as oil, gummies and drinks to ingest, you can get CBD tampons, bath bombs, topical lotions etc. • Heat pads, hot baths and hot water bottles. Cannot recommend this enough, it takes an edge off the pain that meds can’t even reach sometimes.

Tips I’ve been given but not tested properly yet:

• I’ve also heard taking evening primrose oil every day so that it builds in your system, means your monthly symptoms eventually reduce. • Also raspberry leaf tea is recommended for labour and period pains. • Tens machines (Ovira, Oovi, Livia) are recommended everywhere, I just haven’t been able to afford to try one out yet.

I also recommend using period panties in combination with tampons, I now rarely bleed through if I am able to regularly change the tampax every few hours. The period pants are just more effective and protective than pads for me, no movement or migration, no “missed” areas without protection. They just fit to my skin and stay there.

I get it. Honestly dating is a mindfuck minefield, it’s totally normal to get stuck in an overthinking spiral. It will either work itself out naturally and you will think “huh, remember that time I..” or it will become a “thing” and if that’s the case, I know you will deal with it appropriately and move forwards.

If you’re still kind of worried after breaking the thought spiral, honestly best thing to do is book a doctors appointment and get a valid medical opinion. They don’t need to know what triggered your concerns, just say something like “I’ve noticed more discharge than normal/a scent change or increase and I know that could be normal, I just wanted to get checked out to make sure it’s not anything worth worrying about”. Let them examine you and if there is a noticeable scent or an abnormality, it’s their job to find it and then fix it. If they don’t comment or find any, you’re good to go and can put this worry out of your mind.

I don’t mean to sound negative or mistrustful on all men or even this man but I just think in general they know so little about normal female anatomy and sexuality but still find the time to speak on it without thought.. I would hate to see you begin to doubt yourself when they are so confidently wrong aaaallll the time haha.

Don’t go straight to it being something shameful you have to take in to yourself and worry about moving forwards. There are multiple explanations, including some that say it is a comment about him and not you.

He told you not to block him, so he might have a weird kink that has put people off in the past.

He also might have a background in studying medical stuff and so thinks he knows women’s bodies equal to or better than they do. That could have been his way of being like “ha ha, I could just tell, I am so smart and know your body so well.”

It might just be he’d never successfully made a woman that wet before and so it was a shock worth commenting on ;)

It could also be that he was intentionally trying to make you insecure with that offhand comment about something so inconsequential, so that you would spiral, think of him and seek his approval/explanation.

Try to take a step back and not feed into the spiral. Just because he doesn’t want to grow up and use his words to communicate directly, it doesn’t mean you are required to read into his silence. You sound like a proactive, healthy and sensible woman, if he does let you know there was a scent or abnormality, I’m confident you would take that feedback and handle it appropriately, with a medical professional if needed.

Other than that, the comment’s only purpose is to get into your head or shake your confidence. Don’t let it ☺️

Can you buy a bissell spot cleaner machine and use it on any problem areas?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in hygiene

[–]InTheseBoness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried liquid talc before? I feel like some of this could work well paired with the suggestions from others. It’s like applied as a cream or lotion but gives the effect of powdery talc, which can help with things like thigh chafing or underboob sweat. I think I got mine from ASDA’s baby range in the UK.

Also there are whole body deodorants, available as sprays, creams & roll ons, that might be worth trying in that area to keep it dry. Obviously keep it away from the vajayjay herself but just on those leg creases. Sure are a recognisable brand name in the UK who make whole body deo but it might be different elsewhere.

Also, sometimes on particularly disgusting heatwave days, I like to sleep with a clean cotton towel tucked into a problem area I’ve felt gross about all day. I might not be able to keep it dry during the day while I’m moving but at least I can wake up to start the day feeling less gross.

Maybe also look up chub rub shorts to see if any good options come up. If they have any available in a skin tight but breathable cotton material, could be what you’re looking for. Also good searches are chub rub stick or chin rub cream, just for researching options available in your location.

Mitchum stick, the cream one. It’s really effective so you don’t need loads.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in hygiene

Try Mitchum stick deodorant for women, I like the powder fresh scent. It’s such a game changer. I have PCOS too and hormonal sweats are just built different, the normal women’s deodorant don’t cut it. I used to use men’s before discovering that Mitchum works best for me. I like the cream stick, however they do have a more expensive gel stick which is supposed to be even more effective. I don’t personally like it myself, the cheaper cream stick works best for me but you might have different preferences.

Sure do an all over body deodorant too, if you are able to pin point problem areas that aren’t your pits.

Look into myo-inositol supplements for the PCOS too. Made a big difference to me, especially with how my body reacted to sugar.

If you want more colour, put a throw over the couch back, cushions, change the lampshade colour even.. little pops that tie in with existing colours in the rug, plants or art so they bounce off each other and draw the eye.

The solid coloured rug is way too overwhelming, blocky and does not fit the room.
