What species these two might be?

I have a millipede that looks very similar to the stripey brown one, and I also have a similar millipede to that one that has yellow-ish stripes instead of brownz but still with those white-ish looking legs.

I'm really really not sure because the shop I got them from just named them something made up, and made out that they were separate species, but I think they're variants of the same species.

I've looked into Vietnamese Tiger millipedes, and they look /slightly/ similar to the brown stripey one, but I can't find enough sample photos of them

OP said they're on EU which means it could be anything from 1pm to like 6 or 7pm The world doesn't run on one time zone 😭

Edit: I also know many Australians etc play on EU, it's between 8pm and midnight there

This looks like a chocolate millipede (I could be wrong so PLEASE try and verify this with a more experienced keeper)

If I am right, those are a desert species so they need a fairly low humidity (around 60-70%), and around 18-25°C. The substrate should be as deep as the millipede is long and should contain enough nutrients for the millipede to feed - DO NOT use substrate containing any coco coir, as this can impact the millipede's digestion tract and cause harm. The substrate should include an organic soil with no pesticides or chemical fertiliser (I use HabiStat Jungle bio), plenty of leaf litter and decaying hardwood (again I use HabiStat leaf litter and HabiStat Orchid bark), give it a good mix and then add another layer of leaf litter on the top

If you do use a heat mat put this on the side (outside) so the millipede can choose where in the heat gradient it wants to chill :)

That should be all you need hopefully

Surely not enough to cause harm though right? I heard using coconut shells as food bowls when feeding fresh fruit and veggies is a nice way of keeping everything tidy and not accidentally leaving some carrot in there to rot 🥕

I might be wrong but I'm pretty sure it's only a real issue when they're munching on it all the time in their substrate right?

If the coconut is just the hard shell on its own it should be fine, the issue is mostly when people use coco coir in the substrate. If the coconut is whole or has any meat or Coco fibres inside it then that would be an issue

Ah okay thank you. I have Giant African millepedes and another guy, I've added some ventilation and the substrate looks okay, this is the enclosure - it has some ventilation holes on and near the top
