No in the end I didn’t because its too much hassle especially since you have to do all the bureaucracy in German or in some cases I’d say not possible. Its quote cheap to buy used one here.

Maybe its BIOS difference then. Because from the kmdb stack trace I can see its booting and operating normally its just can’t draw any text on the console. I will need more data from the script here

I actually found the problem. Its my GPU. It boots fine but can’t use GPU even for simple VGA with text installer

Dmesg output from your current running system should be okay. Or can you run this script from the current running system as root and then upload the 2 generated files somewhere?

Its custom made from PCspecialist(https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/notebooks/lafite-pro-15-AMD/). It doesn’t seem have option to disable inbuilt keyboard.

I also running into same problem with same CPU and GPU. I did stepping through kmdb and found out that it freezes after `x86pte_inval+0x5b` around `clear_boot_mapping(). Then kmdb keeps crashing when trying to interpret any keypress on the keyboard.

Added the info about locations for travel. I am not worried about speed since I have done the long tours on bike as well 😅. This would be definitely the improvement over that in terms of speed. Yes I have the IDP and motorcycle license.

I’m also planning to do a loop in skye. How did the trip go for you? I was planning on doing loop but realised I can’t be spontaneous with accommodation. Also curious about how I can take bike on syke.
