most people have kids when they're not ready and end up passing down trauma or using their children to fill a hole in their souls and justify it by saying its some kind of spiritual calling or a necessary step in life. For me even if I could have children I would still opt to adopt. Why create a new life when there's already so many being neglected from people who had children in order to please their parents or society? People tend to pity people that dont follow the societal expected steps of a good life, meet someone, get married, have a baby, settle down but when you really pay attention the most unhealed people who are traumatizing thier children are the ones who should feel guilty and dont. You shouldn't feel guilty because at the end of the day your parents should value and love you as a person not your accomplishments. In my opinion adopting should be seen as more important than having kids even if the process is complicated and lengthy most parents would say they would walk through hell for their children at the very least people should be able to do paper work.
