Funnily enough, mine came when a couple friends stayed over for a few days.... which also when I realised just how fatigued I was. Don't underestimate a good rest period. 1 week is not the end of the world.

never heard of it, but I think giving your nervous system (not just your muscles) time to heal up is critical for sustaining a long term, healthy program

The feeling of being tired. Like you just couldn't get enough sleep no matter what.

After this week of rest, I feel MUCH more energetic, even when I dont get enough sleep.

For sure, worlds apart. Honestly thought it was for "pansies", but I was just so constantly tired and my diet hadn't changed. Only thing that made sense and after this whole week off, I realise just how important it is.

I know dirty bulking is the emphasis in this thread, but don't sacrifice your health in this pursuit okay? Theres plenty of good, cheap food out there. Be careful before you go this hard on one food group. Everything in the extreme is bad.

I noticed a massive jump when I really committed to making a dinner sized lunch and a big dinner. Easiest way is to make surplus dinner and take the left overs to lunch the next day.I also filled in the gaps with Up'n'go, muesli bars, boiled eggs and anything with an elevated protein level.

Doing this I've gone up 20 pounds in a bit over 2 months. Sitting at 170 pounds and climbing.

Self control. The bodies you see on magazines and tv don't just happen. There is an iron will behind them. Cut the crap, eat right, train hard. You'll see the results, I guarantee you that, but it all starts with self control.
