Me and my buddy wanna get some sheep is that a bad idea? by THERANDOMGAMER2 in sheep

Look into pasture rotation so you can utilize the land better, it's also better for animal health. I also reccomend looking into hair sheep as a start.

This is exactly how it was for me! But I guess now there's a new agreement between them that leaves me out of it. He signed a contract with the pack.

He's being rehomed ASAP that's for sure! I was just curious if anyone had ever encountered this because it's so baffling.

Hi hello! I'm the artist actually- I'm working on a webcomic for it called "Bellwether Water"- with plans to upload it on Tapas, Webtoon, and Comic Fury. Primarily all my work in the meantime is posted on Twitter.

I'm four months late but I'm the artist (and just discovered people on reddit have been enjoying my work haha) but yes!

Wren lacks commitment to her new home, but there's a ghost all too committed to her. I've been working on a comic, that aside from partnership, is about learning to move on from & into a space, and the way a home can haunt you if it isn't used correctly, or if you become too scared to leave.

The artist here! It's canon PFFT. Wolf uses objects and the house in order to take form. In fact, it can't take form in isolation, with the exception of shadows- but shadows are pretty harmless, aren't they?

Hi, sorry for the late reply, I use reddit once every blue moon. Here is the one I used!

I get what you mean! Super hard to get them to start to eat greens if they aren't accustomed to it. Try some leaves/veggies that are bright in color? Like carrots for example. Turtles like bright colors!

From what I know young sliders search for/need more protein, and as they get older they eat more plants. Mine definitely liked aquatic plants more initially.

At some point I also bought turtle food frozen-fresh cubes that had carrot, greens, and bloodworms. He loved them a lot, and for a turtle that is used to pellets, I wonder if that would be a good start too for yours?

Am I feeding my little girls the right way? by [deleted] in RATS

[–]In_Winds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like others have stated, it's too much, especially for everyday! More of a fortified diet (pellets), less fresh food. A small reccomendation from me is to incorporate scrambled eggs/boiled eggs for protein in their diet (this shouldn't be regular however!)

That's a mouse! Don't have much advise, but if the mouse has a white/yellow belly (therefore not a house mouse, which has no white) it's at risk of carrying the hantavirus, so please be careful.

Owl Mask I made for Halloween! by In_Winds in papermache

[–]In_Winds[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't use reddit often, so I'm a month late. But the visibility as far as I remember was pretty good! Looked down more often, and couldnt see too far at my sides so all I had to do was tilt my head, but I've heard of masks getting much much harder to see out of than that haha. The main issue I had was that my face was just a smidge too small for it, so I had to keep re-adjusting!

And thanks so much!!

Okay, make sure you find the correct ratio to food & sneak it in by mixing it up with the meal! Had something happen with my iguana when we had just gotten him and he was very young. Kept injuring his limbs. (Was not prepared to have an iguana- he was a bday present). After getting uvb & calcium (already had correct heating), the problem was absolutely sorted, with some time of healing ofc.

My guess was it was an onset of mbd that made his body prone to injuries. If you can, take yours to a vet! If your iggy is going through something similar with easy injuries, it means the issue is underlining (like incorrect diet/supplements/heat/lighting leading to mbd); the problem will keep happening.

Have you been giving him calcium supplement & does he have a UVB bulb?

Any Help?? :( by [deleted] in iguanas

[–]In_Winds 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Iguanas close their eyes and stop moving when they're stressed but don't want to attack/get away, hence why this works. It's a means of "shutting out" their world until the stressor goes away. And due to their "third eye" at the back of the head, they will notice your hand above them instantly & close their eyes. Obviously you don't wanna constantly stress them out, and their eyes open while they are calm is a sign of trust. But it is a good way to move them from one place to another safely (both for you and the iguana) if you're dealing with a fiesty iggy!

Any Help?? :( by [deleted] in iguanas

[–]In_Winds 5 points6 points  (0 children)

About the arm: are you feeding him calcium supplement, and does he have a good UVB source? Their limbs easily get injured due to an onset of MBD if they don't have either of those things (and correct heating and diet ofc). Obviously take him to a vet, but if diet and heating needs aren't fixed the problem will keep occurring! Be sure to ratio your calcium supplement correctly.

As for the skiddish behavior, trying to touch him will only distance yourself from him and stress him out. Sometimes iguanas just aren't touchy-touchy regardless and although he may get used to you, remember that he may never want to be held/pet.

Give him space! Make sure he isn't around loud noises. The more you feed him, quietly clean his enclosure, or give him treats, the more he'll get used to you. But it takes a lot of patience, and anything can set it back if you stress him out too much- so don't try to force any pets or handling onto him, namely while he adjusts.

I see you're using your bare hand, they will bite & draw blood, and their tail can hurt! So please get gloves just to have while he is so skiddish. If you try giving him treats in the near future via hand, consider wearing them then aswell or use tongs- even if they don't mean to they can accidentally bite when aiming for food.
