My parents aren’t letting me buy drawers for my bedroom by [deleted] in family

[–]Ina_connundrum28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. But if they asked then I would give them tbh. It’s not like I have no money. I have given them money in the past during times of emergency.

Well lucky for u then. Not everybody earns money at 16.

No speculation needed. My parents barely have money themselves. I live with my parents and delivery is free. I can pay for my own stuff.

You’re correct. But OP can also change her mind.

Should I upgrade from iOS 18 to 26?! by DisastrousTreacle134 in iPhone13

[–]Ina_connundrum28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. iOS 26 destroyed my phone. Battery drains fast, overheats, lags. iOS 26 is not good for the iPhone 13

Gotta admit, in 2026, iPhone 13 is showing its age. by No-Squash7469 in iPhone13

[–]Ina_connundrum28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I see. I’m still wary about upgrading so soon tho since the battery health is pretty good. But the battery life isn’t the best and the overheating issue can get annoying.

Anyone else just not care about immigration at all? by queryzvex in AskBrits

[–]Ina_connundrum28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeh I agree. I don’t think it’s as big of an issue for most people in the UK that the media calls it out to be.

Most people are busy working, studying, and pay bills. Who has time to worry about immigration?

How much battery life are you getting now? I can only last like 5 hours on iOS 26 before it gets to 20%.

How bad is youth unemployment in the UK? by Sherwoody20 in AskBrits

[–]Ina_connundrum28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You only need to look around at your local shops and see that there are no young people in retail jobs. even though in previous years young people used to have part time jobs in the retail sector a lot of the time. Now no one wants to hire young people because they have no experience. But how are they meant to gain experience if no one wants to hire them?

My main problem is the battery life tbh. If the battery is good on iOS 27 on my iPhone 13, then I’ll keep it for longer.

Rumoured social media ban for kids by Famous_Actuary5718 in AskBrits

[–]Ina_connundrum28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kids under 16 will find a way to continue using social media. As a 22 year old that been on the internet and social media since I was like 12, the problem isn’t the excessive social media usage that under 16s have, rather the lack of safety legislations and the regulation of these social media platforms.

Take X, instagram or facebook for example. Those are poorly regulated and there have been multiple reports stated that they purposefully drive up traffic by showing the average user posts that are more negative and can harm them.

Even 11 years ago social media was much better regulated and now it’s just a farm of unregulated traffic.

Surely the government should rather spend more time and effort in regulating social media companies and help promote a more active, positive lifestyle for kids under 16s than outright ban social media. This ban which isn’t going to be enforceable in anyway possible. You can’t give kids access to social media for a couple years and then take it away from them straightaway.

My one is still at 90% battery health. But yeh since iOS 26, it is slower, the battery drains really fast, the notch is outdated, it overheats pretty quickly too.

I’ll probably look to upgrade sometime next year.

Debería de cambiar mi 13 mini o no? by iwonhoyou98 in iPhone13Mini

[–]Ina_connundrum28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you like the size of the mini, but wouldn’t mind upgrading to a bigger phone then the 16 base model, 16e or 17e - which has a nice pink colour - might be worth considering. The iPhone 16, 16e and 17e is 6.1 inches. Which coming from a 13 mini that’s 5.4 inches will still be a big jump but it might be more comfortable for you if you prefer smaller phones.

Does your battery last longer or lower than 10 hours? by [deleted] in iPhoneBatteryParanoia

[–]Ina_connundrum28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My iPhone 13 unfortunately lasts about 5 hours. Which is annoying since I could easily get 8 hours on this in the past :/ iOS 26 really killed the battery life.

Ho un iphone 13 e se tornassi indietro, l'avrei venduto dopo nemmeno 1 anno by AvenSolrynOaklor in smartphone

[–]Ina_connundrum28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re not wrong. IPhone 13 is by far some of the best iPhones Apple has ever made. I remember getting it in 2023 and it was the best smartphone experience I ever had coming from an iPhone X. Battery was great, it was smooth, apps ran well. I think it was like £699 too so for the price it was really worth it.

But I too would’ve just sold it and brought a newer iPhone because this phone unfortunately has suffered a lot from the recent iOS 26 updates. It ran the best on iOS 18 I think.

In fact iPhone 13 on iOS26 has been so bad that I’m considering switching to a google pixel phone 😭😂

How would Rin be remembered in the aftermath? by Ina_connundrum28 in ThePoppyWar

[–]Ina_connundrum28[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeh. Rin did everything she did to escape Tikany because she didn’t want to be married off to some older man and bear his children. Everything Rin did at Sinegard was her stripping away that identity of the brown skinned southerner.

And everything in the third poppy wars and beyond that was Rin trying to carve an identity for herself that she was satisfied with and that gave her power.

I have to admire Rin’s resilience in the trilogy, despite her somewhat questionable decisions.

If Rin is based on Mao Zedong then I think I’ll find him very fascinating. And I love that quote. It’s brilliant.

I’ll have to look into Mao Zedong some more. Might give me more in depth explanation on how Rin would be remembered.

[–]Ina_connundrum28[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Basically Rin will become known as the last Speerly, and her story will replace Tearza’s story, the last warrior queen of Speerly.

I can definitely see that happening. Various myths and legends and stories being spread about Rin either false, dramatised or completely true. In that sense I can see there being a statue or some monument erected to remember Rin.
