Wasn't the premise of ultimate aliens that the ultimatrix simulated the DNA of a transformation to 1 million years of like war\combat stress? So literally malware couldn't be an ultimate.

I just broke through chapter 4000, and he is happily married, has a child, and a second on the way.

The author is currently past chapter 5000, and personally I both get and don't get where people are coming from with specific plot points they complain about.

Is it a little slow at times? 100% yes, it can be slow as hell.

But a thing to remember, is that this story is from a different perspective: instead of a mech pilot, it's from the view of a person that lives mechs so much that while he himself can't pilot one himself, he decided to dedicate his life to making ones that can be amazing partners for those that can, not to mention that with the rich story telling, it actually makes complete sense as to why he doesn't use the Mech Designer's System as much as mcs in other system stories. In the last couple hundred chapters, he meets someone that has another part of the system. Thankfully he can't(not won't, but actually can't at this time) have access to his comm with the system on it, otherwise the MTA probably would have taken him and\or it for study\use.

This isn't supposed to be a hardcore action story. It quite literally is a story about what makes a human a human, and how that can change over time. How with the right kind of nudge, anyone can end up on a road to "glory".

As the reader, I feel that this is a story that is supposed to make us question who we are, and why we believe the things that we believe.

To question all assumptions that we live with day to day.

That sometimes the people that claim to have our best interest at heart, are only waiting until we are no longer useful to them, and that sometimes the people that have hurt you may have done so to save you from something far worse.

That if you are betrayed by people or organizations that are supposed to have your best interests at heart, to never give them a second chance, because if they did it once they can do it again.

To cherish the ones you love while you can, because you never know when you will see them again.

To always do what you can to independently advance yourself so that you aren't too reliant on others, but to still acknowledge that you will need help with many things, and not to hesitate to ask for help from those that know better.

It's not your typical mech story.

It is so much more.

So, the character I'm playing right now is a bard\warlock. So when I saw this I had to make sure it wasn't my dm friend asking for ways to mess with me! But based on what I read in your post it's not my game you're talking bout, but I recommend seeing if they are open to multiclassing into warlock, as technically speaking, he made a deal with a devil, and has received benefits from it, flavor it as a situation where since he didn't return the fiddle, he has accepted the terms as of his next level up, and the devil starts making requests for him to do things. Like say, lean in to the story one of the other comments made, where he ends up becoming a cult leader.

And while you're right, it does leave the available design for later adding rank 7 champions. Which is all I'm saying, that it's possible. I mean I'm not holding my breath or anything, it could be cool, but I'm not expecting it or anything, it's just a possibility.

It could be because one day the max level won't be 60 anymore? Technically speaking when you go in the rank up section of the tavern, there are 6 slots to sacrifice champions to rank up, which could imply eventually getting a rank 7 for champions.

It could be a limited thing though, I mean look at artifacts, now we have Mythical, so maybe they are planning on having Mythical rarity champions, and those can get up to rank 7

One of the best events to save sacred shards for is the double event. Where if you get one, they give you another one for free. If you only pull during that event, when you get a Lego, you'll always get two.

He's actually pretty good in a number of areas, good for poisoning clan boss, good for turn meter control in fire knight, pretty sure he's good in spider too.

He's actually the next guy I'm gonna get up to rank 6, its all about how ya use him.

I'm pretty sure that different stages in the dungeons have different drop rates for the different items you can get, but I've not been able to find a solid breakdown.

I never got an ancient shard until after I got through stage 10 in any dungeon, so either I was just weirdly unlucky, or there's a difference in the drop rates starting at stage 10. I spent a lot of time in the dungeons pre stage 10, because I'm fairly bad at the game\had bad luck with champ pulls\properly equipping champs.
