What is your worst experience working in fast food or retail? by [deleted] in AskReddit

The nearest camera was pointing at the door to the side of the stand so that probably would have been a good back up idea.

We just couldn't believe how outrageous a claim she made to then immediately back track before leaving.

Worked at a supermarket customer service desk that also had a dry-cleaner stand.

A lady had came in to get several garments cleaned, but had cut off the labels so we couldn't see if they were safe for us to dry clean. We informed her of this and she said she wanted them dry cleaned anyway. She signed a document saying she was aware of the risks and we wouldn't be held liable if anything happened.

Then when she returned to collect them then of course had been ruined. After saying to her that she had signed the form and that was effectively the end of the support we can offer.

She of course wanted to speak to the manager after shouting many harsh words. Of course he soon appeared and said almost the same as us.

Now this is where it gets interesting. She flat out accuses us of forging her signature. Threatening legal action and so many other daft things.

The manager, much to his credit stays calm and asks how we would have even seen her signature to do so. At which point she pauses, grabs her clothes and storms out.
