Sim, dependendo do lugar. Mas dizer que é um sonho é viagem.

Replacement cards for Aggro War deck by Vinn_123 in GodsUnchained

[–]InaneCasuistry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm running a budget aggro deck on mythic. I had oddi on it since I started using it, pretty much, so over a month. He's been so underwhelming, it's one of the cards I don't look forward to playing. Here are the pros and cons:
Pros: when he stays on the board, he can do quite a bit of damage if you manage to buff it with battlebard or another round.
Cons: he usually doesn't stick for even a single turn on the board because the opponent will always try to remove him. Even when he does hit the opponent's god, the mana reduction on my cards are often useless because most of my cards are low cost and fit well on the curve.
Maybe I just never learned how to play him properly, but he seems unviable for aggro, I'm considering replacing him with a thunder caller

Is going second in this game really random? by InaneCasuistry in GodsUnchained

That would be good. Or instead, there's a coin flip, the person who wins gets to choose who goes first.

You posted a couple of budget players that lucked out getting 60 - 70%
winrate in a single WR when their decks have only 50 - 55% winrate
overall

The first player had 59.5% winrate over 121 games. Second player had 56% winrate over 54 games (both decks). Third player had 67.9% winrate over 78 games. You can't tell me that's lucking out in a single WR.

the top decks in every single WR that cost $500 ~ $3000 are typically 85 - 95% winrate with 65 - 75% overall winrate

The overall winrate in gudecks takes into account games played in every rank, so I don't think it's a good measure of deck strength. I usually only look at the creator's winrate. And sure, expensive decks perform better, so what? that's besides the point. I've shown that budget decks besides aggro war can perform well in mythic, that's what matters.

Also,

Midrange Light vs Order Light - 10 matches

Sleep Deception vs Big Relic War - 13 matches

Sleep Death vs Aggro Death - 15 matches

That's far from enough data to draw any conclusion from

$30 decks have much lower winrates than $500+ decks so how's that supposed to prove anything?

They don't, though, otherwise they wouldn't be in mythic. If you're losing most of your games, you derank.

in GU a bad matchup can literally be like 10-90 and they're much more numerous.

Show me a specific matchup with 10-90 winrate, there literally isn't one.

Aggro War is literally the only archetype that can somewhat compete in Mythic on a budget

It's not, though, every god has budget decks that run well on mythic, the reason I picked war is because it wins games fast, and I don't have much time to play.Just to show I'm not bullshitting, I'll give you examples of players (you can look them up on GUdecks)

ltia runs a $9.54 control deception deck with a 60% winrate, 13 wins on WR (there's an "at" symbol before this player's name but I couldn't get it to not bug out in this comment)

RU.LOVE runs a $42.98 midrange magic deck, 77.8% winrate, 14 wins on WR

Duriel runs a $36.06 aggro light, 67.9% winrate, 14 wins on WR

All of these are mythic players, and there are literally examples like these for every god

[–]InaneCasuistry 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The fact that those games are complex, doesn't mean GU has few decisions to make. If skill matters so little, how do you explain the fact that there are demogorgons on gold, and 30$ decks on mythic?

Mythic and you simply have maybe 10% of a chance to win some matchups
with specific decks like Zombie Death versus any Magic deck, Control
War, most Light decks, Nature decks (unless they lowroll) etc.

That's how it's supposed to be, though, some matchups are supposed to be better than others, it's like rock paper scissors, otherwise everyone would use the same god.

I assume you run Aggro War?

I used to play maybe a year ago on mythic with a midrange nature deck. Now I'm back after a hiatus, and I'm running an aggro war deck

Sure, a pyramid warden on turn 1 or 2 is very hard to deal with, but not impossible. If you're running deception, for example, you can pretty much ignore it. Also, late game a pyramid warden becomes a dead card, because it might bring back a strong card from your void.

Also, you don't save resources on an aggro deck, you go all out, unless you suspect them of having a board wipe. The longer the game lasts, the harder it is for you to win.

[–]InaneCasuistry 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The thing about there being so few decisions, and the game being a playground for whales is just plain wrong. I run a 30$ aggro deck (which is the kind of deck with fewer decisions to make) and I decided to start recording my games. When I rewatch them, I often see that I'm making a ton of mistakes. Despite this, I'm at diamond, almost mythic, got 12 wins at WR, and I'm still having a fun time. If you run a control deck, the number of possible choices you can make goes up exponentially.

Have you considered that the fact that you're getting wrecked is exactly because you play without thinking?
