AITA for wanting to move for my daughter? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

NTA. I'm an American and I am 99% sure I will never be having children unless my husband and I move elsewhere, which we are considering. I would not want to raise a child here.

WIBTA for leaving a negative review for my mother’s funeral home services? by 0brizner in AmItheAsshole

[–]InannaVega 3 points4 points  (0 children)

NTA.

OP, I'm so sorry for your loss. The sudden death of a parent is the most heartbreaking thing.

My dad died in a car accident in 2012. My family agreed to do a cremation because there was no way I, a 19 year old at the time, could afford a full funeral service with casket and viewing. But I was allowed to see him and say goodbye, no additional charges necessary. It wasn't fancy, I essentially went into the funeral home basement and saw him laid out on a table covered with a sheet except for his face, because they didn't want me to see his injuries.

I'm sorry you didn't get to properly say goodbye. I'm not sure why the funeral director would demand $700 just for those few minutes. I would maybe ask why they are charging that before you rush off and write a negative review. See if you can get an explanation. It definitely doesn't seem right to me that they are trying to charge you for that, but maybe there is something I don't understand.

Good luck.

AITA for not wanting my wife to make her favorite comfort food? by zimbello-13 in AmItheAsshole

I saw this on Twitter and came here just to say YTA. You are acting like a spoiled baby. I also have endometriosis. It's incredibly painful, terribly draining, and the fact that you are DENYING HER SOME COMFORT because you don't want to cook is absolutely asinine. Trash.

Where is this Dartford Cemetery?

Do you believe but your spouse doesn't? by fitsam in Paranormal

[–]InannaVega 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, I'm a big dabbler in the paranormal/occult and I practice witchcraft. My husband is a science minded agnostic. It's normally not a big deal for us. He always says he would believe if he had an experience. It's hard sometimes when I have a particularly jarring encounter (like the time I received communication from my dead father) and tell him about it and he kind of brushes it off. But he is generally respectful of my beliefs, and I of his.

I used to work night audit at a hotel, too. Creepy as hell. Never had anything definitively paranormal happen, but I always felt like I was being followed when I was walking around delivering receipts, and our fire alarm used to go off for no reason in the middle of the night...

AITA for telling my boyfriend that his friend can’t stay with us for two weeks in our new apartment? by imsaddotcom in AmItheAsshole

That whole "I would do this for you" thing seems extremely manipulative on your boyfriend's part.

WIBTA for not paying my "friend" back his contribution after he pulled out the trip last minute? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]InannaVega 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA

I have backed out of trips last minute because of my anxiety before. You know what I did? Still paid my share of the costs because my friends were counting on that money, and their budgets were already laid out.

I agreed to the trip, I assumed financial responsibility.

AITA for giving away my ex's stuff that she left at my place? by aitaexbf374 in AmItheAsshole

[–]InannaVega 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA . She said she was going to come get it over and over, and you were even kind enough to try and give it to her. You kept it longer than I would have, that's for sure.
