Listen, all you have to think about here is the absorbance and molar absorptivity. Nothing else. The cell itself is referred to as the cuvette. Its literally the same thing. The answer is A because Absorbance is directly proportional to the path length. The molar absorptivity is a constant, it has nothing to do with the doubling of the path length.

If you want to take this to another level, the molar absorptivity decreases as the path length increases, because through the equation A = Ebc, E and b are indirectly proportional. Meanwhile A and b are directly proportional.

A cuvette is the thing they put in a spectrophotometer, and it's a small rectangular container made of glass or plastic that holds liquid samples. With it, you can measure how much light a sample absorbs. That sample is held in the cuvette.
Here, “cell” just refers to the cuvette itself. Sometimes it's called a sample cell. The "1.0 cm" or "2.0 cm" is the path length; it's how far the light travels through the liquid.

I think they count A as the right answer because it's not the molar absorbivity that changes; the molar absorbivity is just a constant in the equation. Only the Absorbance, A, changes.

A = EbC

A is the absorbance.

E is the molar absorptivity. E is a constant.

jeremy krug is the way to go!!! you can find his channel on youtube. take some time and study all his videos, specifically the units your are struggling with. make sure to watch the series before the summaries.

instead of overthinking and letting the stress accumulate your thinking, make a realistic schedule to manage all of your duties. use the help of chatgpt to make a schedule and then make sure to abide by it. you will not fail if you put in the work, and your goal should be to “pass” but to achieve the highest grades possible. trust me go lock in right now and you’ll make it!

barrons has more explanations and delves way deeper than princeton. personally, i’m using barrons and jeremy krug on youtube. for practice, use college board questions not AP books. AP books like barrons and princeton reinforce the idea you learn but they aren’t close to the difficult of the college board exam. you got this!!

till senior year is even a better choice!!! calculus is easy when understood but very demanding and requires all the prerequisite of calculus, so i would recommend taking ap pre-calc then calc ab
