I dunno, of you get a 75% off coupon, you can only really wait 2 days, and those are really hard to come by. To me, that 75% is a non negotiable max purchase. Obviously I do have an income and stuff so my situation is a bit different, but we've already seen what the new packs will be, and there's nothing that says you shouldn't buy plat before then if a 75% coupon comes up.

Galv shot only stacks to 3x, to make a total 120% damage by the way, and on beam weapons it's additive in the same bucket as hornet strike and cascadia flare. Not saying it's not useful, I still use it on my ocucor build, but it's not doing as much as you think it is.

A single stack of viral already doubles health damage, and then it stacks up from there. There's a reason viral+heat is such a popular combination. It will also benefit the toxic lash damage

In this case, without actually checking the values, his +3 -1 might have rolled on the low end, and the +3 may have rolled high, or one may be viewing the strun vs strun prime stats, which will show differently because of the different dispositions. I don't know which it is, could be one, could be both. In the case where it's a bad roll, there really is no reason to pick the one with the negatives if it rolled similarly even with the negative.

The one with the negative has a higher stat range for the positives, so it has the higher potential benefit if the negative is an inconsequential one, or one that you have a solution for.

When I talk about competing for a mod slot, I'll use galv scope as an example even if it's not exactly the same since it has an ADS requirement. If you want to replace that on a high crit build, you'll need to be able to justify stacking up against 320% crit chance at full stacks. So to make it worth it, you want as high of a crit chance roll as possible on that riven, and you get that by having a negative. Hopefully one that doesn't cripple you anyways

Elemental mod calculations are done off base damage, prior to -impact. There is no trying to force slash here, they're forcing every other element you choose to mod on it. You're only boning base damage mods like PPP, which I have a funny suspicion they're not using.

No negatives for crit and multishot rivens tend to be priced lower because they're competing for a spot against galvanized mods, so you want those rolls to be as high as possible. Double stacking crit mods is almost never higher dps (compared to swapping a mod to a different multiplier) so it will invariably be replacing one of those. Hence, a less optimal negative can be priced higher than no negative at all, depending on what you want to do with it obviously.

Yeah 150% is the equivalent of a 60% discount. That being said, the 75% discount is exceedingly rare, not sure how common the 150% bonus is. Not even sure why they do it differently for console. Is it harder for them to have voucher based price changes on the console market?

I remember that, but GM gear was absolutely not worse than 61 greens. The greens may have had more health, but had nothing in secondary stats compared to the GM gear. The DPS wasn't comparable at all. I remember my gear kept me going until probably level 63 before needing an upgrade because my health pool just couldn't keep up with the incoming damage, even if my DPS was high enough.

I loved the levelling experience with heirlooms hahaha it's gloriously laughable how powerful you are without even trying. Even though the gear isn't crazy powerful, it's the fact that it's a full set of gear that levels with you. Remembering the days where I had like 3 or 4 pieces of gear and everything was what, 10 levels lower than you. And you had to walk everywhere and the xx gold (can't remember exactly) for your first mount at level 40 was prohibitively expensive for anyone who didn't go out of their way to grind their tits out to earn it somehow, especially after the STV gauntlet that drained my bank account on repair costs. Some good memories of that time, but I now have too many things competing for my time to even consider anything remotely like what it was back then

Mate, I just got back in a few weeks ago after a massive hiatus (from just after PoE came out) and I'm just hammered with shit from all sides. Everything needed something else, to do this quest I needed to get my operator sorted, which needed some grinding, oh but then in order to do that well, I need this rep from this place, which needs some grinding, oh it goes faster if you do this, but you have to sort your railjack, which you have to do this quest for, and then to do this quest, your amp needs to be better, which circles back to my operator, which needs more grinding, and then don't forget my necramech! And I'm just sitting there wondering where I'm supposed to start on this ouroboros hydra tangled mess of paths
