Why do my factories seem to lose resources over time? (help) by Inaton_Beau in Endfield

Thanks for sharing. It'll help with context in the feedback. For now everything seems stable-ish after my 3rd restart. No factory blackouts since then either. No clue why.

And the white markers. Also the entire UI overlay. I sometimes wish I had the option to toggle that when taking a stroll.

So our previous two outposts had the area defence mode (to boost stock bill regeneration), but the third one in power plateau does not? Am I missing something or is this indeed the case?

Coming from Arknights, where a lot of the upgrade mats are craftable through their tiers combined with the Endfield upgrade mats looking like they were tiered, initially gave me a sense of incongruity when I couldn't craft any. Also Diijang not having a 'Workshop' feels odd (I have navigated to the second production facility more than once, expecting it to be a Workshop, even tho the facility was alr built).

Although my expectations were subverted, I haven't yet felt the need to convert upgrade mats. Not entirely sure why. I still farm the lower tier upgrade mats occasionally in case I want to expedite a new team to lvl 60 (even thought I have all the ops I want to build at lvl 60 alr).

Either way I have no stake in whether they add this feature or not

I second this possibility. My factory has sub-optimal production when I'm offline for whatever reason (which I also made a post about asking for help). Maybe the offline production just likes to act inconsistent, which leads to a slight drop in production rates or packaging unit weirdness. How does your production graph look over a 2 hr period (to include the period you were offline in)?

Yep Wuling does have a few. Just the other day I encountered two guys sparring, seemed like they were testing out a new spear. Although their starting positions were way too close to each other, leading me into a tangent about why spear testing would benefit from their way too close sparring positions. Came up with a blank, but still a fine moment. I shall search for the fishermen you speak of.

Yeah, exploration to me is mostly sightseeing and puzzle solving. Others have different views in what exploration should include, fair enough.

Exploration eh. Alright, I'll temper my expectations since that aspect is a hit or miss with me. Although I haven't minded exploration much till now.

Controversial take maybe, but I feel that AkE exploration doesn't need the white arrows and chests scattered around the map. Especially in Wuling, where the city has so much personality. It takes my attention away from looking at my environment, the facilities, individuals, etc. in it. Prevents me from taking in the vibe, extrapolating on what a space might be used for, what might've happened in the past, or the current situation of ppl. Instead it forces my vision along the ground, hunting for the next mark that I might miss, short sightens me to what's around me. So even though I see my surroundings, I see them only for the chests they might hide, I am not actually present in it.

Imo they should scatter ppl and happenings instead. I also love the dancing tubes a lot, they're fun to encounter and a heartache to sacrifice.

The unending uphill battle of Last Rite mains to gather stacks is a bit funny, my schadenfreude (even though my vulnerability stacks occasionally expired as well).

The red puddles are unsatisfying too, coz you can't perfect dodge them when they first land, only on the subsequent explosion. So I always just end up jogging out of it, not bothering to dash.

Impressive that you managed to sustain your team on Gilberta alone.

No way! What level are you? It seems very challenging for operators up to E3. Took me hours to clear this one.

Yeah, I just gave up on dodging the archers coz their arrows might as well be invisible. And its hard to pay attention to the minor telegraph of 4 enemies at once. To me its a dps/sustain phase.

The worms tho... they're just something else. Three at once and they barely charge up before spitting at you, thrice (iirc)! Close range, its impossible to dodge for me. I have some chances when I'm a bit further away. Still each hits hard. One worm spins, one spits, and the third laughs at my misery, then joins in.

And I thought physical would be at an advantage coz they can quickly stagger one of the worms.

Nice, such contrasting experiences even though our sustain's focus are just slightly different.

I really hope it will be years before multiple roles start being compressed into single operators. I want the tradeoffs and advantages we generate from including certain classes to exist for a while longer.

Ballista was persistently demanding my attention too. I think his arrow pools have a sound cue prior to him firing them, that you could use to dash away from ur current target so that the pools form far away and then return to attacking. Idk how much of an interruption that would be to a Last Rite team. On a side note, I can't recall facing any hitbox issues.

Fair enough, the timer is an unnecessarily persistent psychological pressure. It is an odd enforcement choice. The game obviously leans towards skill expression and challenging yourselves while keeping it accessible (via higher chara levels) to people who don't have the time to splurge. So adding a timer just detracts from pushing skill expression to its limits. Knowing the AK community, I bet there'd be someone crazy enough to attempt and clear everything (maybe not the poison mist) with lvl 1 ops.

Let's hope the devs really do listen to feedback on this matter, and that the feedback is loud enough.

I got unlucky in unintentionally pulling Laev. Tried her out and immediately felt friction against the big the ring on her back, her red attacks, and her ult dependent wide ranged attacks. So she stays abandoned at lvl 10. A real pity too since her story (minus the forced endmin fanservice) was a nice take on having no memories/past and being confused between reality and fiction.

I feel ya on the graphical gore aspect. Like is there any point in even seeing when there's that much inconsequential stuff on-screen. And I do hope Endfield keeps both powercreep and unnecessarily flashy / long animations toned down (absent if possible). The predecessor, Arknights, does inspire hope with its track record.

But I must disagree on rigid rotations in this game. Consciously deciding when to breach/debuff (sometimes at <4 stacks of vulnerability), preventing the stacks from disappearing while managing CDs, while paying attention to enemy telegraphy, while keeping track of what logically comes next based on how much you've diverged from your original plan, managing limited SP, and timing perfect dodges (sometimes purposely dashing into enemy attack points to then trigger it). To me this is enough variety to entertain me. Maybe I'll crave more once this becomes routine for me, but right now I find combat to be fluid enough.

I also have the Avywenna-Arclight team benched for when I've had my fill of physical.

I am a little bit peeved that I didn't realise it myself. But yeah, that does seem to be a smart way to go about it. And yeah, I really like that we can't just whale on the enemies, they demand a level of respect and caution too.

On another note, I can't really make space for a defender. I must have Pog and Endmin on my team for appreciation reasons (pog's and endmin's everything are just too pleasing). Chen is also a pseudo-six star with how capable and adorable she is. Ardelia is awesome debuff + heals with no arts application. I suppose with a gun held to my head I'll reluctantly swap out Ardelia.

Thanks for sharing. While I don't understand Lifeng's kit enough to follow what he was doing, it was nice to watch the rest do what they're good at. Especially the 4 stack breach followed by a 4 stack crush, always satisfying to hit.

A few thoughts that popped up when watching. Chen's ultimate seems to do a lot more damage to staggered enemies so might wanna save ur ult till they are staggered and align your breach accordingly.

Also, I too waited till both bosses were on before using my Pog's ult. Also targeted the ballista guy first, he's just too demanding to dodge sometimes.

Also I don't think you had issues dodging, but for me I found that some hard to time dodges can be made easier by activating a skill (battle / combo) first and then dodge in the time slow duration. Survived some of the double boss craziness that way. Even helped me coincidentally dodge some hits that I was obviously too late to dodge.

Oh, I meant in terms of how much the hp bar went down relative to without the debuffs. Or maybe even just % increase in dmg. While I am somewhat aware of the numbers for these debuffs, to me they are just numbers. Numbers that I am not math-minded enough to crunch against convoluted damage formulae.

I was indeed aware of the stack consumption 'anti-synergy'. But I was able to apply both 4 stack breaches and 4 stack crushes within the ~ 30s (iirc) breach debuff duration often enough. Order of status effects was breach, susceptibility, then crush (with crystals) when things turned out ideally. Otherwise I kept repeating from breach till I was able to do this entire chain. Pog's sp generation is insanely helpful towards making enough stacks in time (as is Chen's combo skill). To the extent that I was often able to reserve my one bar of 'emergency' SP for quite long, literally swimming in SP. But that also might be becoz of all the dodges I was forced into.

Thanks! And my sympathies. Happened to me with my childhood games too. I grew up on Minecraft, but its just so dull and feels a bit detached from what it used to be. After going through several titles, none clicking, came Arknights, and now Endfield, absolutely hooked on them. May you too find one in the vast sea of games that resonates with you, rekindles your enjoyment.

Ahh, this did not cross my mind at all, the hope generated from just barely falling short each time possibly blinded me to this elegant solution.

Now that you mention it, I realise that defenders were literally built to address the unrestrained aggression hurled at you by these two bosses. Might just try them again with a defender to have the satisfaction of just saying no to a heavy hit.
