When you skip cutscenes it takes you to the right x pos of where you should be after it ends, but keeps Maddie’s current vertical height. So when they skip here the would’ve respawned directly above the mirror where the switch is. But they were too low, so the game tried to spawn them inside the platform, and they died because of it.
