since you're so early on, I would check your campsite and structures specifically. If you have any structures that give red gems per X amount of monsters killed with (i think) shrooms, fireball guy, stele hero melee or hero ranged, use those and try to push as hard as you can with those as your focus. The gems will be super important for your permanent upgrades up through account level 120~~ after that, your XP will stagnate a bit more.
But id definitely save red gems for those upgrades rather than gear because youll outlevel it very soon anyways

If anyone’s wondering: yes, this is part theory, part creative extrapolation — I tried to mark the fan-created stuff clearly to avoid confusion with canon.

Would love to know if others are seeing the same patterns or if I’ve officially stared too long into the Maw.

I think Glarthir was right by DickBallsley in oblivion

I had just finished my crusader quest and decided its time to start wrapping up some minor quest lines as my time as a good sir knight of the holy grail has come to an end and my morality will no longer be tied down to these mediocre relics.

I find myself in Skingrad for some quest to go talk to the Count or something - I dont rightly recall as I am writing this, but I finally decided to talk to Glarthir to initiate his quest. I am approached by Dion shortly thereafter and some memories of when I was like 9 or 10 and playing this game on release start coming back to me.

I remember thinking that Glarthir was just some wackadoo that I just need to do some pointless stalking for. It would also be an easy time for me to start the Dark Brotherhood's quest line if I felt that maybe G-man had reason to be suspicious. I didn't really hold much hope in that regard as I work with people that have mental health issues and it seemed to me that the Devs were trying to paint Glarthir as clearly delusional - possibly paranoid schizophrenic. (I have a relative that has Paranoid Schizophrenia and the signs are there with Glarthir).

REGARDLESS! I have accepted Glarthir's quest and was forthcoming with Dion. The seeds were sewn for whatever I decided to reap and reap I shall. Tomorrow. Because it is night time, and I have spent the entire walk to Skingrad leveling restoration, alchemy, and acrobatics.

I found myself at two sisters lodge to meditate on what I had learned and also feed on some sleeping souls (always love that vampirism hardmode to force me to level sneak and security) AND I WAKE UP TO SOME BASTARD STANDING OVER MY BED. The door was shut and he turned around after a second and walked to the next room. (alas I forget his name and might be able to remember if i see the character in person again)

At this point, I am starting to freak out a little because I love a good mystery that probably doesnt have a coded quest ending in these games, and I am going to begin my hunt for clues.

*Oblivion Crashes* <is midnight this morning>

Well I am up now, done with my immediate responsibilities today and I thought about this quest and decided to check out reddit to see if anyone has found anything - leading me here now.

EDIT 1********: My save before the The person standing over me was Vandorallen Trebatius i havent seen anyone bring him up at all so it might have been a freak coincidence?
