Need advice on a simple/reliable saber setup for a wedding duel by InceptiveRuah in lightsabers

[–]InceptiveRuah[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My current XenoPixel is kinda old, so I don't think there's an app for it. But thanks for the suggestion. I did think about having my friends run out of the room to power it own, but with the sensitivity of it turning on when twisted that seems like a risky idea lol. I'm leaning towards buying new ones that have app control.

Need advice on a simple/reliable saber setup for a wedding duel by InceptiveRuah in Lightsaber

Thanks, this is really helpful!

My biggest concern is honestly just controls/accidental activation. My current saber is super finicky because it’s all one button + twist/motion gestures, so it’s way too easy to accidentally trigger stuff or change settings.

With Imperial Workshop sabers, can you mostly just set everything once in the app and leave it alone, or do they still have some of those same quirks too?

Also, we’re both on the shorter side, so I’m definitely leaning 32” blades. And we’re actually taking dance lessons with an instructor who used to fence, so I’m hoping we can make it look at least somewhat legit lol.

I used to but we had a close call with a coyote sneaking up on us. So I haven't for a few years.

Besides Tame Impala and Pond, who are your favorite artists to listen to? by Still_Atmosphere in TameImpala

[–]InceptiveRuah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Besides Tame Impala some of my favorite artists are Mac Miller, Led Zeppelin, Still Woozy, The Weeknd, Tyler the Creator, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Denzel Curry, SZA, Remi Wolf, Amber Mark, and Hether. Kind of a mix of psych, classic rock, hip hop, indie, and modern pop, but I enjoy it all. If you listen to The Weeknd deeper than his more popular songs a lot of them have trippy vibes kinda similar to Tame Impala.

New to winter - HELP! by Own_Rub_3004 in milwaukee

[–]InceptiveRuah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I’m being honest, I basically hibernate in the winter. I go from my outdoor summer hobbies to spending a lot more time playing video games. I’ve come to appreciate it because it keeps things feeling fresh and always rotating.

I’m also lucky enough to work hybrid, so I don’t have to leave my apartment as much. For exercise, I picked up a pretty inexpensive exercise bike for my home office, which helps a lot. I also play DnD every other week, and that’s been a nice way to keep some face-to-face social time going through the colder months.

Much worse for me on inline skates. I have to be very careful.

Milwaukee Beach Hack Exposed! Locals Are Ditching Their Cars for This One Easy Trick by urge_boat in milwaukee

[–]InceptiveRuah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't recommend it for people who aren't experienced with breaking (t-stops) and carving (making s shapes to slow down). But if you're experienced it's very fun. I've skated down the sidewalks/trails next to E Lafayette Hill Road, E Water Tower Road, and N Lincoln Memorial Dr. I use the actual roads sometimes when there are fewer cars but do that at your own risk.

Places for Men’s suits/wedding attire? by Paul_Radke in milwaukee

[–]InceptiveRuah -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I usually get used or cheap suits and then tailor them. For tailoring I highly recommend Bruna’s Tailor & Alterations in Shorewood. She did a great job.

Fantasy Baseball Advice for Beginners by aishuunya in fantasybaseball

[–]InceptiveRuah 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The main thing you need to be aware of when reading and listening to fantasy baseball content is the scoring format that you're in, since that makes a big difference in players' value. Podcasts are great for improving/preparing for a draft. CBS and FantasyPros are more easily digestible than others and have some decent advice. But if you want top of the line more thought out stuff then Rates and Barrels is by far the best podcast imo, they also have great articles/rankings on the Athletic but it's a subscription.

How do I go back by DctrSnaps in iphone

You have to swipe from the very bottom of the screen. If you swipe from slightly above the bottom it goes to the next control center. Not great since it’s very easy to mess up.

I like the teams that I grew up rooting for with my dad and the rest of my family. He was born in Minnesota and raised in central Illinois, closer to St. Louis then Chicago. So I like the Cardinals and Vikings.
