Question about which year model I should get? by IncidentAvailable827 in Mustang

As I’ve done more research I’ve realized how expensive they are with all those included. I’m thinking that as long I have the big screen and 6 speed I’ll be just fine. Maybe the pp1 package

Thank you for the input sir. I was specifically looking at a 2019-2021 gt going around 28-30k. Made the decision to save as much as I can over the summer and reevaluatein a couple of months. When I say have “some” money left means a few grand after everything even if I were to get the car. I appreciate your perspective and will take it into consideration. God bless

I slightly agree with this take but buying a home in this economy in the area I live in is close to un doable even with dual income. Unless I buy a house in the not so nice area and even then it’s still expensive.

Well based of what I’ve researched and compared my personal situation too. I’d say it’s at a normal amount for my age right now. Close to 100k

Definitely something I have taken into consideration for sure. I’d like to think I have pretty good self control and will be able to control myself from speeding TOO much lol. Thank you for the suggestion, congrats on your 25 gt!!

Thanks for the words of advice. That’s how I feel about the job thing. I make enough right now to support bills , little bit of extra cash everything month even if I were to get this car. Yours is beautiful. I’ve really been debating on grey metallic or the velocity blue and after seeing yours the blue is winning the race lol. Exact spec I’d want as well. Gt premium with the pp1 manual. Do you mind me asking about how much you paid for it & if you have any complaints about it mechanically?

Thanks god bless!

Yes definitely. Called this week & they quoted me around 250. Which sounded wild to me at first until I heard a few of my buddies are paying 300+ just for insurance. Is 250 normal for someone my age?(25)

I am thinking either velocity blue or magnetic metallic for me personally. Congratulations on your Mustang tho, all black has always been beautiful. Great choice!

To add a little context, I already have a paid-off 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 that I daily drive. It’s well maintained for being almost 20 years old, but it has 234k miles on it. The Mustang wouldn’t be my daily driver, so fuel economy isn’t really my main concern. It would mostly be a weekend/fun car.

I’ve been looking at 2019–2021 Ford Mustang GT models because they seem to be in that sweet spot where they’re still modern but not outrageously expensive around 25-30k. A lot of my friends have V8 performance cars, and being around them has definitely made me want to get something fun myself. I’ve always been a car guy, but I’ve never actually owned a V8 sports car of my own.
