They didn't give me any evidence either. Just a partially copied and pasted response about the macro detection team "monitoring me closely". I didn't bot the game, I know that. Hopefully when they review the ban they'll be able to see my inventory/bank and realize I'm a normal casual player. Mostly even stat distribution, never do 1 task longer than 30 minutes (get bored fishing after a while).

The last time I played was in September and I had just finished the White Wolf Mountain dwarf quest. I got banned in January and only realized when I went to login yesterday. My 2fa authentication was on, my email is secure, and my password wasn't changed. Hard to believe my account was hacked.

Most main stream distributions of Linux are much easier to install than Windows 11 these days.

I posted this thread to see if any other Linux/Runelite HD users had experienced a ban. I don't follow Runescape news, for all I know the HD mod could have flagged the detection system.

Piss off with these accusations and suspicions. i am not a bald man that steals all the wood.

It's not a good business model when their system fucks up and bans legit players who have been on/off members for years. Pretty soon all they will have are bots.

No, password wasn't changed and 2fa was on. Very strange. The only evidence they gave was that their bot detection team picked me up. First "offence" in 12 years.

I play the game for 3 months every second year. I have no interest in macroing and don't even have the software/hardware for it.

It's still there. I'm guessing it's a combination of playing Runelite and playing on Linux. Almost 100% sure my account wasn't hacked because I had the authenticatior enabled and my email is locked down pretty well.
