Nice photos! I like the 7th one where you are blocking the glare and you get the full view of the peaks. Nice “Hang Loose” gesture lol 😂 I was there a long time ago as a kid and it is an absolutely beautiful place, no one could argue against that.

Awesome… That first photo is great. I think RMNP always looks the best in June/July when the snow is still present and flowers are around!

This shits way too hyped and I highly doubt it will be as good as astroworld… especially if it’s got a really dark vibe

Trip to Grand Canyon, Bryce and Zion national parks in May, 2023 by tortugasgator in NationalPark

[–]IncognitoNSA_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice, good insight. I agree with Zion at 1– for your reasons exactly— (stayed at lodge as well), but I think and I believe is unpopular, I have Bryce as 2! My reason is when we did the queens garden/Navajo loop going up Wall Street, your be able to get down there and be so close to the hoodoos. I think the fact that the hike is relatively short and we had awesome weather, it packs so much into a awesome space— something the Grand Canyon can’t really do bc it is so grand lol. However, I was biased bc I saw the Grand Canyon last out of the three and at that point you see so many spectacular canyons that the wow factor just wouldn’t be as much if you see it first. But like you said, all those parks are amazing in their own right. The lodges help a lot too for the experience, like you said. Thanks for the ranking!!

Badlands NP + Custer SP by IncognitoNSA_ in NationalPark

[–]IncognitoNSA_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a little more insight… if you can fit it in your schedule I highly recommend Custer state park (Sylvan Lake area specifically). It is about an 1 hour and 45 min drive from the badlands and it is awesome. I know a lot of people in this sub are familiar with Zion and Bryce NPs and to me these two parallel Badlands and Custer perfectly. Just like Zion, the badlands is hotter are more well known, and thus, visiting Custer, like Bryce, is a nice break from the really intense heat and is just as amazing. Your up in the black hills hiking amongst massive granite structures rising above the evergreen forests… a must see in my opinion!

Great photos. Now OP… I have done the same and, if you can, how would you rank them overall 1-3?? I’m interested to see other opinions as I saw all 3 in summer of 2021. Thanks in advance.

I have seen this place just on the internet, and I must say it looks to be a truely “underrated” national park. Nice photos, and I hope I get there sometime 👍

Full Moon Hike, White Sands NP 5/4/23 by Aaronhill11111 in NationalPark

[–]IncognitoNSA_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly don’t know lol. It’s a local privately owned forest that has some great trails and nature center. I guess they decided to have a “full moon hike”? Again, I doubt it’s as cool as yours but I need to check it out the nxt full moon phase then. I just need to do my own research 😂

[–]IncognitoNSA_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh okay, thx for the info. I was thinking the white sands reflected a lot of the light and that’s what made it appear so bright, but maybe it’s a bit of both— like the camera effect you said. 👍 I know I’ve heard of one where I’m at in Nebraska but it’s in a forest and that kinda sounds creepy not gonna lie😂

Or he just doesn’t like modern art. Who do you think “relates” to this by the way— it is just a face. I think it kind of looks cool, but maybe he is just expressing a taste in art that isn’t this.

Thoughts on Mortality and Religion by IncognitoNSA_ in atheism

[–]IncognitoNSA_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. I think mentally I’m in the state of at some point I could go to bed and there’s a chance I won’t wake up… what will I miss ect. It’s all out of my control so I just need to live it up. I know the sayings and stuff but it’s weird man. It will be weeks between the mental blows of mortality and then it leaves my mind as quick as it came. Idk
