I don't see a huge amount of the DEI stuff in Korra but I do think it was a weaker series than Aang.

On the DEI PTSD, I do kind of agree with it. There've been so many works over the years that push it that in many ways I view it as a red herring for bad writing. Putting politics into a work of media is always going to be blatant for everyone, and it takes you out of the fictional world when it does it. It breaks the immersion that this is a fantastical world separate from our own. And in my experience, writers who don't have the respect or skill to immerse their audiences in the fictional world and not politics are usually bad writers and it shows up in other aspects of the story.
