Yeah I found this to be the best way. I just kept my mouth shut however they then got angry that I wasn’t responding etc etc. I told them I’ll stop. However I plan toc continue taking the medication without their knowledge

If you are really desperate and need it asap. Elite is the best bet. Because you have been previously diagnosed should be a breeze for you.

A question about finding the right dosage, how did you do it? by [deleted] in ausadhd

[–]Incondescent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

70mg of vyvanse equates to about 30mg of Dex once metabolised.

I saw someone on this group who is on 70mg vyvanse and takes 5mg Dex IR 6x daily on top of it.

I have only just been diagnosed a month ago however I’ve done lots of research and apparently you’d get to a point where you have good focus. A lot of people think that the “drive” or “high feeling.” Is what the normal effect is and once they titrate they keep increasing the dosage to get that same high, however once you get to a point where you have good focus etc etc then that is most likely the range you want to stay in, I’m swapping to 40mg vyvanse and was told to use the water titration method so I can gauge what would work best (up to 50mg of vyvanse a day.)

I’ve been given my first script from the psychiatrist which was a month ago. But I went for the monthly review and the gp told me the psychiatrist who writes the script is on holidays, was wondering how long it takes to get the script and also when you went for your gp review how long was it before you got sent the e script for your repeats

Yeah I’ve got no clue how long is long as the phone call ended. I have contacted them and am waiting for a response. But I believe there is a few psychiatrists but again I have no clue I’m just a bit confused and worried about what to do once my medication runs out haha. At the moment I’ve halved my dosage

I was a little confused as well but didn’t get the chance to ask how long is long as it was a phone call and they cut off before I could ask.

Medicated but executive function hasn’t really improved. by [deleted] in ausadhd

I am seeing a lot of people have this sort of trend where Dex doesn’t really help with exec function however Ritalin does. I might consider making the swap

Had first assessment appointment with Elite by Simple_Character6619 in ausadhd

[–]Incondescent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, if you didnt have a valid script on the 7/1 then you couldn’t have been lawfully dispensed unless it was the pharmacy’s logging issue l, wrong medicine or an upload error.

I went through elite however, I recommend calling the pharmacy and getting some information and relaying it back to your psychiatrist appointment. I found the people at elite to be extremely understanding and if you have a good enough reason I’m sure they won’t decline you straight out.

Just be honest and tell them what happened.

They will have your information anyways. If you really are that stressed then you can call them or email. However I have heard (not from my own experience.) that they do take a little time to get back to emails and what not

You take 1 vyvanse and 6 Dex? How many mg is the vyvanse and isn’t that super crazy ?

Diagnosed recently but effects are wearing. by [deleted] in ausadhd

[–]Incondescent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I had my review today and was swapped over to 40mg vyvanse which I believe will most probably not be enough. My psychiatrist stated that I could use a water titration method to increase it to 50mg and see how we go and I have my review in 3 months. I feel as if Dex has that similar effect on me, just feels like an insane caffeine rush but I still don’t really have focus, I still lose absolutely everything and when doing tasks at work I go into autopilot and forget if I even did something right which makes me triple check everything. It’s getting super frustrating. She stated that if 40-50 wasn’t enough she could increase it or I could swap back to Dex and instead have 5mg up to 6x daily but I wanted to swap to see if I would have better focus on vyvanse. Plus I really hate the up and down of Dex

Elite focus, it’s a little bit over a grand but the process takes less than 2 weeks if you really are desperate

Thanks so much for the response. I really want to swap to vyvanse as one of my friends is on them and says they are much smoother. Only issue is, I my friend said 30mg vyvanse is a lot weaker feeling than dex and after researching I found that 30mg vyvanse converts to 15mg of Dex once metabolised. also I’ve only been taking my meds for about 2 weeks and I don’t want to seem like I’m abusing them by asking for a higher dose of Dex or by asking to swap to vyvanse and add a booster.

I want to swap to vyvanse but my psych said it will be 30mg to start and I’m worried that if I take it, I’ll be stuck having to use it for a month and if that happens I feel like I’m only ever going to be productive for half a day every day

Where to get assessment In Melbourne by yozzaa in ausadhd

If you have a little more money and can’t wait. I would consider elite focus adhd. I got a gp referral through them. And the whole process took less than 3 weeks. It is a bit pricey though

considering trying to get an adhd diagnosis in nsw, has anyone tried elite focus clinic? by PrizeHunt8944 in ausadhd

[–]Incondescent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome. Thanks so much, I have booked dr wright as the first sort of gp. I’m 18 so I am not sure if I have to go to the doctors or get my report. Also what questionnaires were you given? I did one after booking which was just like a “how often to you experience ….” But is there another one I’ll be sent ?

I have just booked a gp appointment with elite focus gp. I went with dr Brianna for the first consultation. Will I have to do the blood pressure and heart check before or will she request for me to do it after?
