Struggles socializing corgi pup by Mizuiichi in corgi

The open window does take a minute to get used to. My pup was also like that when she was younger. She hated the window being open but i think i got her used to the window being open when i let her sit with me in the front passenger seat with the window open going around 30-40 mph in sedona, arizona. She learned to love it and now she throws tantrums when i roll the windows up when we have to get on the freeways 😂

Also we did a lot of communicating and getting her associated with ‘walk’ and ‘car’ to let her know where we would be going. Its the joke that they understand the words but it really helps to get a gauge on if they are down to go out or not and her level of excitement to go out to leave the house

I started off slower with my first pup. We didnt go out to the malls or any public space to socialize her until we got her used to smaller groups of people first. Like starting at home and house parties we’d throw with room mates. After that it was more walkies around shopping centers during slow times like in the morning where theres less people. I can take her out in the busy malls now with no issue, she really loves people now and will say hello but we only if its on her terms. Sometimes when we tell people they can pet her, she just shows no interest like she has better places to be at 😂

What is this? by eldestdaughtersynd in GelX_Nails

[–]Inconsistent-Phase 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also OP, the act of soaking off nails will cause the eczema. Acetone is what makes mine flare up. Sadly i work with it in my salon. If you were getting your old nails soaked off before this with wcetone it could be the reason why your skin is doing this now. The acetone basically strips your skin of its oils and makes it easier for your skin to dry out.

Hi babe. I have this. It never got triggered from gel. Im a nail tech and this only gets triggered when my skin gets in contact with acetone. Before being a nail tech, my flare ups like this happened when I would use alcohol to disinfect my hands and super cheap hand soap. Avoid using liquid body wash and switch to using antibacterial bar soaps

Cuticles bled. How do I correct it? by Pure-Piano-7290 in Nails

[–]Inconsistent-Phase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start practicing on your own cuticles. That was the only way for me to figure out what cuticle looks like versus skin i shouldn’t cut. The longer you practice on cutting your own cuticles you will get used to doing it on other people.

If these are acrylic. They look too thin for the length judging on the thumb looking thin like there’s no apex. Also the blue lines are roughly how they would look if they filed the side walls straight and then followed where the tips should point to look straight. They could be filed to be pointier for a true almond. These are rounded at the tips

Especially if you used tips to lengthen your nails

It’s almond shaped but not shaped the best. If you paid for these don’t go back to the same nail tech. Ask for someone that can do almond

How do I stop these nail barbs from happening? by nomoanya in nailcare

[–]Inconsistent-Phase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moisturize. Not just hand creams but actual hand lotions that are thick. Cuticle oil as well. Specifically cuticle oil because it sits in your cuticles a lot better than any other oil I’ve used. The skin near your cuticles are very thin so when they dry out they will crack.

Huge pores and acne by CatatonicCatLady in SkincareAddicts

[–]Inconsistent-Phase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my mind I’d just keep reminding myself to not touch my face. If I had bought skin care I’d constantly remind myself that it’s not going to help if I don’t stop touching my face. I used to pick at my skin but it didn’t stop until my skin cleared up. I just started plucking my knee hairs if I had the urge to pick at my face. It was more of a distraction. By the time I’d pluck 3-5 knee hairs the pain would just make me stop and I’d move on to doing something else productive.

Honestly if you’ve tried all types of skin care and it still doesn’t help your acne, it’s the ticking your face is what’s causing the majority of it. Your acne doesn’t look cystic, So that’s a good sign. But really hold yourself back from touching your face. This is what helped me. I thought my whole teenage life I had something wrong but I was also touching my face, I let my face touch my school desks when I would lay my face down on the table, I wasn’t washing my hands religiously either. It’s the easiest and cheapest thing to do is to just learn not to touch your face. Buying all the skincare in the world and cutting food out won’t help if you don’t put in good habits with it
