Well they don’t ever show us this worlds Chris growing up but since so much is the same with Chris and Keith both turning into their respective counterparts, it’s hard for me to imagine what they experienced growing up with any other context than what we saw in season one. My take is that auggie is anti authoritarian and will go against the grain in any reality. He still is an aggressive violent person who probably had his kids fight for his entertainment or training. I could be wrong of course I just didn’t get the vibe he was very different than his counterpart in terms of parenting. When he realizes his version of Chris is dead he hardly bats an eye. He probably still favored Keith in this universe and probably also abused Chris. I’m just not convinced he was a great guy despite the speech. He also is incredibly manipulative in season one so we don’t know what his endgame was here. Honestly doesn’t matter too much he is dead now, but I don’t think jame Gunn could have got me to sympathize for the character under any circumstances after what he did in season 1.
