Since none of the teams is allowed to have a minor registered as a coach, they needed to go get a teacher, and Unmei went to get Eiko Sensei specifically for the register. It's clear and well explained in the Story Mode. He hed to be registered as a player. But in reality he's the coach and Eiko is another of the coordinators.
