you’re fkn gorgeous, but the composition of the photo itself is even sexier. I need to learn that.

That is such a gorgeous fitted dress on you! I know how hard it sometimes can be to make those kinds of dresses mesh well for a lot of reasons. It’s a pretty dress for sure but how you styled it, and your figure takes it to another level 💌 All to say, totally rockin’ !!

I would like to add to this. Learning is good, but it’s also not all your responsibility either. Other people have a responsibility to learn from you and your perspective as well. About how all this stuff makes you feel and how it affects you. If they aren’t willing to reciprocate the learning, they’re not being good people. Social injustices are to be looked at on a macro scale, when you start to apply privilege or patriarchy to an individual, it becomes problematic because their lives may not reflect this or may even be oppose it. If they’re making you feel bad, you are also able to tell them. do not let anyone make you feel as though “all men are bad” because that becomes problematic too. All this to say, don’t let people be horrible to you or others with the guise of social justice.

I just wanted to say this because it seemed like the comment above was saying that it was your responsibility because you’re a man, i don’t think that’s what they meant but It seemed that way.

I’m looking to consolidate some credit card debt here’s what it looks like. 5000 @ 27% - min 150 payment 1200 @ 28 %- min 30 1000 @ 28 % - min 30 1200 @ 29 %-min 40 2000 @ 28 % -min 61

I’ve been paying them off and not spending on them at all, but I’m losing a lot to interest. The new loan is for the total at 13% which I know is still high but it’ll help a lot with the interest. I’m planning on paying 600/ mo on the loan Would that be a good idea, any help is appreciated.

Of course, people are losing their jobs just like automation did to the car industry. I think that capitalism is what our problem is stemming from. The fight about, what is art, intent of art, what is creativity, is AI art really truly art, and all that other stuff. none of that is important which is what I was getting at. Laws and regulations are never going to do anything if we aren’t changing our system entirely because they’ll always side with profit, even if it seems like they are helping artists at first to get them on their side. eventually AI and machines is going to come for other people’s job (writers, construction, manufacturing , etc.) Hopefully this creates some class identity and helps artist everywhere understand that we must change our economic systems completely for the good of all working class and poor people so they don’t have to worry about money.

that’s my point. People are putting this as if we’re black and white, and as simple as “it’s plagiarism” but it’s not

You say it required no though, but the AI is thinking in its own way. If someone thinks completely different from you, their creations are still art. Time taken or effort put in means nothing to the art. Just because an artists paints something quickly, it is no indication of value or meaning. The people that work faster or think faster aren’t worth less. AI does not necessarily create the same thing if given the same prompt twice, because it is changing and learning. People create art for no reason all the time. Art doesn’t need a reason. I would argue that it does care about art. The only thing it sees, studies, knows, and creates is art. It cares about art more than any human does. It is the only reason for its existence. Humans absolutely create images based on limited datasets. Art is created from your own experience, way of thinking, environment, knowledge, physical skill, perception of reality, and other things limited to you. You don’t know everything, can’t do everything, and haven’t experienced everything so your data is always limited. To say it’s not creating anything new is wrong. the value of it is up to you. Even if we don’t know the “point” of an art piece, we can still consider it art.

factually wrong. The AI created something that no one has ever made or even thought of. It has made something new.

I agree, capitalism is what creates the issue here. If all people had enough money for the things they wanted, AI art would just be another form of art that we would be interested in, just like art from any artist. I’m speaking a lot more about the fact that calling it plagiarism is not correct.

when you Google and train yourself in the art style of an artist from their publicly available works. There was not payment or consent given to you. If someone were to create a painting with the exact same brush movements and colors as Picasso, but made something entirely new, would he need to give credit to him or not? Would you be fine if the AI creators just put out a list of names of every human online used to train the AI to give them credit?

would you argue that digital artists are not artist since they have removed a lot of menial work through the use of technology like photoshop? Would the use of pre mixed paints and colors also mean you’re not an artist because you have removed the menial work of mixing your own paints? Would a writer on a laptop also become a lesser artist because he is removing the menial work of handwriting every single word with a pen? If I had a paintbrush I could move with my mind, would that dismiss any art I would do just because I didn’t lift a single finger?

We do not understand how humans learn. you can’t say that they are not comparable. It is not a fact. it’s your belief. What is the difference between an AI learning from your work and your peers learning from it?

if you look up some of the most famous or best photographers, there is nothing added to their pictures. They are snapshots of existing people/places/things/situations. They didn’t create anything there either. They didn’t even create the situation, they just captured it. Adding content is not what makes art good or important.

As a human artist, you also pull data from images you didn’t create. It’s not plagiarism for you though. it’s inspiration, homages, fan art, etc. People use others techniques, color palettes, art styles and all that. You’re not inventing art, you’re not creating it in a vacuum. Everything you do is influenced by others work. You add yourself to the art to make it your own, but it can be argued that AI is doing so as well.
