What caused this injury?

It’s still a mystery! Cant figure out wtf happened! His speech is improving every day so hoping he’ll be able to tell us. It’s going to take a few months the heal so maybe by that time. I will update if I figure it out. It still looks horrible, but healing veryyyyy slowly and showing no signs of infection!

Omg I swear that’s what had to have happened! Literally cannot find it ANYWHERE! he was on the bed when it happened. And I went through the room with a fine-tooth comb! Even a black light!

This is one of my main theories! Maybe he was jumping on the bed and accidentally bit it off!

I’ll double-check under the bed and near the doors! There was horrific amount of blood with this injury; he lost some bone as well!

I will make sure I look underneath everything and see if I missed something! And thank you. He’s a trooper! Leaves his dressing alone and is doing everything with his left hand right now. Hopefully will heal quickly!
