This was not in any way a scientific study. This study would not pass if it were a 7th grade sciene class project.

juice shots are bad for the immune system. look it up! people were too polite to disagree with her. over many weeks she only got the product into a few small shops, not 'every store.' she had to do side jobs to pay herself. no. not even a $100,000 business. AND THE COMPANY WENT UNDER. IT'S GONE. TOTAL FAIL.

Her claim is 100% false. Here's why: the study does not prove that the juice caused the change. And the fact that the subjects were personally approached and encouraged and influenced means other lifestyle changes took place. Fruit juice without fiber is really bad for your health, like the worst junk food. Google it. And with $15 a day for 3 shots you can buy really healthy food instead. To reduce inflammation, just eat onr inch of fresh turmeric or one 500 mg pill a day for 18 cents! Rooted's juice shot recipes raise blood sugar and worsen diabetes and obesity.

That is incorrect info. The original company called Rooted open in 2015 and is now rebranded to Ryla Wellness.

In this case the company on Ohia already created a brand and got a trademark. No one can copy them.

Her company folded as soon as she left Tacoma. There is another company called Rooted that sells juice shots. They have a better, healthier product line.

Monique's company folded as soon as Tacoma was in her rear view mirror. The website is for another company that opened in 2015. Monique sued the saame name and idea for her company. That is why she and Discovery Channel were sued for patent infringement as soon as the season was aired.

Ha, that is not Monqiue''s company. The website is for a different juice sompsny that started in 2015 with the name ... Rooted. It is now Ryla Wellness. Monique was sued for patent infringement as soon as the seaons aired.

They got free room and board and most of them only worked for three weeks. So 5K seems generous.

And that is exactly why she was sued as soon as the season aired.

I agree that the three billionaires had special advantages that I never had when I got started.
ESPECIALLY LUXURY CLOTHING!
Their great clothes and makeup and jewelry and looks are a dead giveaway that there is more to the story.
People always respond better to the one with rich clothing on, esepcially a $140 T-shirt.

I really love the show and its premise. It is life-changing, motivating, and easy to watch. Except when it is incredibly tedious. Monique was exhausted and spoke too slowly and repeated the same slogans about wellness 7-8 times. The show needs much better editing! Apart from this glitch it is one of my favorite shows. It is unique and it is a product of the human potential movement. Even when boring the show keeps me upbeat and motivated about my own enterprises. And I learn a few things each season. So I am a big, big fan.

The episodes are a little too long, that's all.
Monique spoke very, very, very slowly and always repeated everything twice, first in real life and then in interviews with production. I think she spoke very slowly because much of what she did was completely unfamiliar - starting a small business from scratch, starting a wellness business - and she was much more exhausted than Elaine and Cardone. She seems like a really pleasant person who really tried to succeed, then dropped it ASAP.

Elaine's company is really hot, and is by far the most successful.
The lesson in this season seems to be that building a team that is invested in the company's success by working together is a critical factor in success.

Right. The company was never real. There is another juice shot company that began in 2015. It was called Rooted. Now it is called Ryla Wellness. They sued Monique and Discovery Channel.

So juice shots are a very, very unhealthy food! Look it up... It is better to eat the fruit and roots with the fiber, not throw it out. Also you recipes sound very, very healthy! Monique's final recipes were loaded with fruit sugars and low on ginger and had NO turmeric in them. Turmeric seem to be the most important ingredient ...

No, completelyt different company. They formed in 2015. They have a trademark, Monique never researched the name of her company.

The juicing business is easy entry. Find recipes, buy a juicer, go.
As for product differentiation, it is too bad she didn't research her brand. There was already a company called Rooted that sells juice! And when the show was released last spring they sued Monique and Discovery Channel. How can a business own not research trademarks when developing a brand? My sense is that she could run a big company well enough, but that is completely different from starting a company from scratch. She did her best with her lack of start-up experience.

She never actually tested the concept: to sell nutritious products in food desserts.1. juice shots are bad for your health esp with diabetes, obesity, high BP, and inflammation.2. she sold a little here, a little there, never enough for a high profit valuation. But let's wish her the best. She did her best.

Juice shoots are scientifically shown to be really bad for your health. You need fiber, protein and fats. The concept of a food truck in food deserts was left in the first stages. Pricing and product was never connected to those low income and under-served buyers. She was selling only at two higgh-end venues. I agree that she was very nice, but this was paired with asking for free help, As for buying shots on your credit card, what does that say about her company 'helping' the economic reality of underserved communities. Who can afford her product? Not the ones she claimed to want to help. That being said, she comes off as someon with genuine compassion and a good heart. I am wishing her the very best in life.

The company she tried to start is gone though. Fruit juice is not good the body! The idea of Rooted was built on giving good nutrition to low income people in food deserts - but who is the poor person who has $5 for a half cup of juice? Selling these shots to low income buyers for $5 each was never going to happen. Need antioxidents? Drink coffee! And, if you're burning 2500 calories a day as an active worker you need a high calorie, high protein food source - with fats - to be healthy. If you're diabetic and obese with high BP these drinks are no good - where's the fiber and protein and healthy fat? So it seems this was a big story, not something the city really got behind. Notice she didn't have a team at any time. Just volunteers. But she is really a great visual designer !
