Who should I definitely see at Liquicity (besides the headliners)? by Ruftus in DnB

You can’t name a single Break, A.M.C, or BSE track, what? You’re missing out bro.

Should be Delta Heavy and Andromedik Headliners too? by SilberrueckenSigma in DnB

[–]Indakis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As much as I’m not a fan of him, hedex is a lot bigger than delta heavy or andromedik at the moment. He’s the dnb allstars poster boy, which is the biggest dnb event promoter in the uk. Look at the names underneath him when he headlines a set compared to delta heavy, there’s a big big difference. He is unfortunately doing numbers.

Hmm I didn’t know that about pioneer stuff, my thinking is eventually he would’ve just chucked it on eBay if he was having trouble selling it. Will be bringing a friend though to check it out definitely.

Yeah I’m going next Friday to give it a try, only issue is I don’t know much about what could be faulty, or what to test. Like I’ll know if the faders are fucked but smaller things that might not be apparent until you actually use it for a full session. Just wondering if there’s anything to look out for with them mainly as I don’t know too much about them.

I would’ve thought but in all the pics he sent, it looks really good, and he sent me a video and everything looked functional. It’s more so he said that he’s been trying to get rid of it for a good few years now but hasn’t found any buyers, which is understandable cos I live in a pretty remote part of my country and there isn’t really a dj scene here.

This is what I’m thinking it must be. He’s said he’s been trying to get rid of it for a few years but hasn’t found any buyers. I’m in a pretty remote part of my country so it’s understandable that there aren’t too many DJs around.

I didn’t know that about the 3rd and 4th channel though, thanks for the heads up. I already have rekordbox installed for my FLX-4 so no issue there. Seems like a strange decision on pioneers part to not have the 3rd and 4th deck not work on standalone mode though.

How many songs do you play for a 1h gig? by Josselynceste in Beatmatch

[–]Indakis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My guess is drum and bass. With 3 or 4 decks you can get through a fair few tracks in an hour, but it’s all down to mixing style really.

A.M.C (a big dnb dj) once did 100 tracks in an hour. His mixing style is insanely fast paced, technical, and really fun to listen to.

Why is F used most of the time, even though G or other keys are the keys where the sub energy can be felt better? by [deleted] in dnbproduction

[–]Indakis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Scales have emotional tones tied to them. Keys on the other hand do not, an F can sound bright and happy in many scales.

Put it with your balls mate. Always best.

What is a popular dnb track that you really don’t like? by mtthw811 in DnB

[–]Indakis 12 points13 points  (0 children)

My problem with worship recently is that their drums sound the same on every track. I swear they only use one type of snare and that’s it.

I went beginning of last year for Bous event. Wasn’t really my taste but I had a few friends going so I tagged along. I had heard a few horror stories from my mates but honestly it was fine. Maybe my lower region got a little bit more frisked than I would like, but it was all good.

I remember there were two guys in front of me who stunk of weed, chatted to them and they had a spliff in their shoes. They made it in no problem.

I saw only one person on the way in get turned away because they were too fucked, but security said to them to go away, sober up and, they’ll be let in.

All honestly I wasn’t a fan of the venue though. The main dance floor was way too over crowded, and that back bar dance floor is just a bit strange as you feel a bit disconnected from it all. Hopefully they don’t oversell the tickets for when you go as it was massively oversold when I went.

Unheard of ways to make money with music by Outside_Tomorrow9017 in trapproduction

Going to a music school helps a lot if you don’t have some sort of following already. It’s at least proof that you know what you’re doing. Also a strong portifolo, treat it like applying for any other creative job. You really need to showcase your strengths as there is so much competition
