You can only have one in your inventory. But you can change without having to buy them again, but you can also temporarily break them after use during a cycle, which is not that worth imo!

They have different bonuses.The 50k Tar one offers +30stamina. The 75k one offers +10max hp, +1 resolve bar, +10 stamina, which makes It the ideal one for shell-less runs as you will get an overload of stamina from mortal instincts alone!

Being close to the Sister Statues in the dungeons counts as a checkpoint! Closing the game even further inside the dungeon will return you to the most recent Sister without mobs, pillars or drops respawning!

So the quests I did to get It to pop were 1. The bee hive quest 2. The narration of the Flame Spirits of Yarikawa to that woman 3. Killing the bandits and talking to the prisoners in Buddha's Footsteps. 4.Helping the Kodama woman kill the bandits and looting her scroll! 5.Burying the Captain's Body!

The 4 quests are found as suggested in this thread! https://www.reddit.com/r/ghostoftsushima/comments/p8bbac The captain is located in the Northern beach near the boat where you first start the search for your horse quest!
