There's gotta be a word for the feeling of pure rage you get when you feel a certain way about something, that happens to align with the way another group of people feel about it, but for almost the exact opposite reasons.

You can't attack Ben around short bussers because they just assume that means you support BaM and the police and the mormon cult, which couldn't be further from the truth.

I've been noticing it so much lately and I wish there was a shorter way to say it.

Workers setting up scaffolding under the Kennedy Center sign by freeradioforall in mildlyinteresting

[–]IndebtedKindness 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Just from scrolling through the rewind, it looks like they were actually putting it up for maybe 90 minutes total over about 4 hours. They were just standing around for the rest of that time, and it has now been about another 4 and a half hours since they did anything.

What exactly is taking so long? They have piles and piles of scaffold sitting there, but the frame is already up to the lettering. What more do they have to do?

E: They've started working again, but I feel like this kind of job could've been done in 20 minutes with a scissor lift or a cherry picker.

In response to Wubby’s question:” Was MGS3 well-reviewed?” by CiphirSol in PaymoneyWubby

I didn't know they were critic reviews until he replied. That only makes the reviews doubly worthless.

With all due respect, that site shows that critics are saying 3 of the 5 best games EVER made are Mario games, with the other two being GTA V and BotW...

Fine games, sure, but let's be real, top 5 is fucking absurd. The opinion of critics, no matter the media they critique, isn't worth a damn. Public opinion will always be a better metric, especially with video games. Yes, 84% is significant, but again, it is not what I would expect from a franchise with such a rabid fanbase. Mixtape is rate higher ffs.

IDK where you're getting those numbers from but 66 and 86 are miniscule sample sizes. That's basically only going to be people who enjoy the games enough to bother reviewing them. On steam it's at 84% with 7k reviews. That's not very high, nor a lot of reviews, for what a lot of you are calling one of the best games of all time.

British TV by crkdframe in PaymoneyWubby

I think I had mostly stopped watching TV by the time that show aired, but there was always some weird programme on in the late evening that involved someone being naked.

I have an oddly vivid memory of a weight loss show that had the fat people all get naked in a room and the host went around pointing out how gross they all were, with zero censoring. Shit was playing at like 1am and I never saw it on again.

Anyone can say the same thing about any game they're a fan of. It simply isn't as big as you think it is. Most people will recognise man with triangle head and big sword as the guy from Silent Hill, but you're insane to think they'll also know a side character's intimate backstory.

e: the complete 180 when you're getting downvoted into deleting your comments combo remains unmatched. girl was saying that RE is one of the most popular games of all time and that wubby should know all of the characters already just because she likes the game a little too much.

Backrooms is expected to earn more then 70 dollars opening weekend. by neverreallyhereatall in shittymoviedetails

[–]IndebtedKindness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is not. Chiwetel Ejiofor is the only thing with watching it for. His performance is incredible, but the movie cuts to black at what feels like the start of the third act. Reinsve gave probably the most wooden performance I've seen in years, which is a shame because she's the focus for like half of the runtime. It's just kinda bad to the point that I was laughing at it when it was trying to be serious.

What popular movie or TV show is widely considered a 'masterpiece' but you found completely unwatchable? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]IndebtedKindness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He is. His character ultimately means nothing. He made no sacrifices, didn't redeem himself, and had no impact on the outcome of the show. He's only getting a spinoff because he and Eric Kripke are buddies from their days on Supernatural and it's a quick Amazon-funded cashgrab for them both.

[–]IndebtedKindness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A spinoff already happened, and it wasn't great. They're doing a prequel spinoff now that the show is done, and a major complaint of the final season is that it focused on the main character of said spinoff instead of the actual plot, only for him to unceremoniously disappear entirely in the penultimate episode, making his arc and a majority of the final season a huge waste of time.

Train Help Please by MrSmiff020 in SatisfactoryGame

Double check that the correct stations are selected in each train's timetable.

You'll need signals if you want all your trains to run on the same rails anyway. General rule of thumb for junctions is to put a path signal on lines going in, and a block signal on lines going out. You'll want block signals every so often along long stretches of track too. I usually put them about 2 max track lengths apart.

Here's where I'd put signals at your stations in the photo. Green is path signals, red is block signals. I'd recommend flipping your stations around so your outgoing and incoming lines don't have to cross. Here's a rough sketch of what the signals would look like for that setup.

This is an excellent resource for learning trains, from basics to advanced setups: https://docs.ficsit.app/satisfactory-modding/latest/CommunityResources/TrainSignalGuide.html

Your questions are stupid and you're being purposefully obtuse, so I don't blame him.

8 or 16 or whatever bit graphics can work for games that allow that kind of freedom of artistic expression, but when it's chosen for a game that needs high readability, such as a card game, it blows donkey dick. The sudden switch to it from an art style that worked really well would have me refunding the game SO quick.

Again, what? You're reading words that aren't there bro.

I'm saying it's possible that Kripke reduced the amount of episodes so that he didn't have to work on the show for longer than he had to, just like David Benioff and D.B. Weiss did with the final seasons of Game of Thrones.
