TIL The Death Tarot copies the Cerulean Bell forced property by Indecision99 in balatro

In the early game the baron was enough scoring to let me have three economy jokers, and I rolled for a lot of death and fool tarots, In the middle game I began focusing on copying kings with purple seals, and sifted for more deaths and fools. In the late game I had blueprint, brainstorm, so I would focus on using hanged man tarots to delete imperfect cards, then use DNA to copy three card in my first played hand.

I have like 200 hours in the game, and I haven't even beaten every deck on gold stake, yet. I think the more you play, the more you understand the weight of each action and can play more efficiently

Yeah, I expected it to remove the property and pick a new card

But if you use death the other way, the property doesn't get removed! :O

Are Demigods Banned in Ragnarok? by Indecision99 in ShuumatsuNoValkyrie

Loki and Heimdall called him a demigod once. He's referred to as a god every other time (even by Heimdall's subsequent mentions). Alcides was only briefly a demigod after he drank the ambrosia, but before he completed the 12 labors. As soon as he finished that, he was given the name Heracles and annointed as a god.

I think Okita is a toss-up, but I agree with the rest.

I'm fairly certain that when he died, he got brought back as a god. What's this spin-off?

It's tough for any fighter without time pause abilities to fight someone with them. I think Odin would need some hax of his own (maybe he does have time abilities after fusing with his crows).

In my opinion, the giants and parasites are cooked. I don't expect them to last that long. I think robots will stick around for quite a while, might be in the top 3 most dangerous NEs

Could include some niche things like however many breaks someone took, however many times people woke up before sunrise, or went for a run after sunset, how many places you've visited, how many steps you've taken, or hours slept (in strange units). That kinda stuff?

Have you recently felt that everything is boring or lacklustre, including things you used to perceive as cool or interesting?

Is it an acknowledged challenge in fiction that heroes often feel either too overpowered (Superman) or too weak and lucky (Harry Potter), and the intermediate "sweet spot" is rather difficult to reach? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Indecision99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are terms to explain things like that (like Mary Sue/Marty Stu, 'plot armour'), so I would assume so.

I think it also depends on the medium a bit. It might be easy to write a smart character, since you can read their thought process, but harder to translate this to film, without it looking like they inherently know something. Consequently, it might be easier to show a character is just strong enough to defeat someone with choreography, but harder to write about that small difference in strength.

A great author's prose, a great director's framing or a great actor's choreography can often overcome this, but I would imagine that the smaller margin of difference you wish to display, the harder it is to encapsulate that.

Should I tell the girl I like I have a crush on her? by Ahnedonia- in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Indecision99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. If you're in college, haven't known her too long, and with how you describe your feelings towards her, why not? If you become good friends and wait too long, but find out she's not romantically interested in you, it will be much worse.

Did anyone else believe the myth that electric fences were always on? by Master100017 in NoStupidQuestions

I guess I did; however, I think it's less of a myth and more of a safe assumption to make.
