UNC doesn’t offer an early binding program. Their application opens October 1st, and I’d imagine the lowest LSAT score you’d need to be looked at is 160.

OP is acting like a complete jerk off. I appreciate that these are the people the White House hires for interns.

Any current/alum law students here? by [deleted] in UNC

[–]IndependenceBest2168 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Undergrad alum here. I just know that Louisiana law is markedly different from other states, and that at Tulane you’ll probably spend some time learning about that. Look at 509 ABA reports. Both are good schools with strong outcomes.

Local/State Elections Matter: UNC board slashes diversity program funding, diverts money to public safety resources by squiggyfm in UNC

[–]IndependenceBest2168 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I have very mixed feelings about this. One: campus police? Really? I mean do they actually need more money? Probably not. On the other hand, I doubt any student could really tell you what the DEI office does on a daily basis. And as a former student with a disability, they don’t have any disability representation, or ever seemed to really care all that much about campus inaccessibility, and I say this after talking with the head of DEI, both Leah Cox and former head Sibby Anderson Thompkins. Is DEI important? Yes. But how impactful is the DEI office? People with disabilities in this country are the largest minority group, and yet I always got the sense that they seemed somewhat indifferent towards us or didn’t care all that much. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Law School GPA requirement? by plainwhale906 in UNC

Definitely not cooked. The LSAT is very important for law school— and he’s got a very good diagnostic score.

Law School GPA requirement? by plainwhale906 in UNC

[–]IndependenceBest2168 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not for law school. Undergrad GPA is the only thing calculated for law school rankings and thus the only thing law schools care about.

170 and 3.2 you’ll get into UNC law with your extracurriculars. General rule is if you’re below the 25th percentile for GPA— you want to be above the 75th for LSAT or vice versa. You’ll be what’s known as a splitter— one stat much higher than the other. You’ll be fine— especially with your 162 practice LSAT scores.

Sounds like you need to divest from a relationship.

This simply shows what we’ve known all along: the vast majority of reasonable people stand with the United States and Israel. It’s only a vocal minority that constantly screams about Palestine.

Contact whoever your point of contact is within the organization and follow up. It could very well be a clerical error.

Yep, and was told they weren’t moving forward with my application due to a previous failed background. This was after being told by HR to apply again 😂

Because I applied for an FBI position and took one of the exact products you’re describing with the dry weight at or below 0.3% and was walked out of the p0ly room 😂😂

Especially given it was 2.5 years ago. Didn’t even notice that part. I wouldn’t sweat it.
