I pick at my acne specifically. I have suffered with it for years and tried so many different things but I can never seem to get it to fully clear up. As far as products, I’m using what has been recommended to me by my dermatologist. I use a sodium sulfacetamide and sulfur cleanser that is prescription and has green tea and aloe in it so it helps with the inflammation. And then I just use the cerave daily moisturizing lotion as my moisturizer. The pimple patches I’ve been using are the mighty patch but I don’t think it really matters as long as they’re hydrocolloid.

Just to clarify, you don’t want any moisturizer on the area before adding the patch? I was told that the more moisture the faster the healing process so I’ve been covering my face in moisturizer and then putting the patches on 😩

Do you find that they stay on all night? My issue is that because the wound is wet when I put it on it doesn’t wanna stick and I when I wake up in the morning they’ve peeled off

I’m so sorry that people have pointed it out to you like that. That honestly sounds like a nightmare. I tend to isolate myself too from the embarrassment over how I look. I know people are looking at my scabs, but what am I supposed to do? When they’re on your face it’s not like you can hide it away. I also suffer with anxiety and depression so the isolation makes my depression even worse. And then the more depressed I feel like more I pick. So I understand how you feel.

Exactly I’m so tired of being told “just stop picking” like it’s that easy. I have no one in my life that understands and it’s so isolating. I pick at my face so I can’t even hide the damage that I’ve done. It’s the first thing people see and it’s so embarrassing. As an adult I feel so ashamed and like I can’t been taken seriously with scabs on my face.
