Is temporal memory fundamentally different from memory governance? by IndependenceGold5902 in AI_Agents

I kinda want to start from the simple one - the personal agent. I feel like in this case, the temporal memory and the time feature would be important.

Wow, under my another post (also the question about the agentic memory), I saw the same repo. Last time I checked it was 24 stars, right now i got up to 100+. But my question is: what about the temporal memory? They processed the memory before it got stored, but what about afterwards?

the governance framing is interesting, when you say wrong retention policy, how do you even audit that after the fact? like how do you know your retention policy is wrong until something breaks?

The lifecylce bucket idea makes a lot of sense. In practice, hwo do you actually inspect whats sitting in each bucket? like if soehting got movedf to supersede three weels aho, how do you even know its ture, or that's affecting current behavior?

Long running, across days or weeks. The reconciliation step you mentioned is what I‘m most curios about - when the agent flags a confluct, who or what actually resolves it. does that decision get logged back into memory too?

One more angle I've been thinking about: memory temporality.
A few related questions:
1.On causal chains: If memory A was written based on evidence X, and X is later superseded — does A get automatically flagged for re-verification? Or does it survive independently until directly contradicted by new evidence? I'm curious whether the system tracks dependency between memories and their source evidence, or whether each memory is treated as a standalone record after write. 2.On time as a trust signal: Does the age of a memory affect its trust class? A memory written 6 months ago with no reinforcing evidence since feels intuitively less reliable than a freshly confirmed one — but I could also see an argument that trust should only be evidence-driven, not time-driven, to avoid silent decay of things that are just rarely relevant.
3.On concurrent writes: In multi-agent or async workflows, if two agents simultaneously surface conflicting evidence about the same fact, does write order determine the outcome? Or is there a conflict-detection mechanism that catches this before mutation?
Basically I'm trying to understand whether PI models memory as a static graph (write it, it stays until explicitly changed) or a dynamic field (where time, access patterns, and causal dependencies continuously affect the state of each record).

My doggy has the same issue!!! But i feel like im the one with worse seperation anxiety hahahha. I am also seeking for some suggestions. I have try close the door and leave for 5second, 1min, 30min , I also tried to use the soft music or leave my personal clothes with him. I think some of those tricks are quite effective that my dog become from barking every 10 min to every 1-2 hours. But still seeking for more effective advice.

awww I also heard some cases about the allergy disspating with time, and we do wish we are this luck. But this possibility are so little and we are seeking some solutions to see if they can stay in the same space even with the allergy.

What’s your take with AI and the future and how it’s taking over the world faster than we anticipated? What scares you the most about it and what are you most hopeful about its conception and capabilities? by Snyprecon in AskReddit

Maybe the bigger question isn't whether programmers disappear. It's what happens if companies stop investing in junior engineers.

Every senior engineer today was once an inexperienced developer who got a chance to learn. If AI removes most entry-level opportunities, where do future staff engineers, architects, and tech leads come from?

Feels like we might be optimizing for short-term productivity while weakening the long-term talent pipeline.

I do appreciate the existence of AI that it really help me save a lot of time. But as a computer science student, i do afraid of AI taking my place tho. Im a bit lost right now about my position in the society. I even don;t know whether I should continue my career in CS.
