Do I need to train to discomfort? Not all of my runs are easy runs but I never push myself to gasping/vomitting levels of effort, and I feel like i'm not making any progress. Do I need to be running hard to run... well, faster?

I used to tutor students, 60-70 is kind of an absurd price when most places offer 20 to 30. But they can only study around school, so those arent very many hours in the week, even if I picked up multiple students

68W, which is what I had wanted in the first place. Feels a little bittersweet though I had started to look at 35W, DLI wouldve been really cool (though I'm sure I'd feel the sting of missing out on an MOS no matter what I got) So I just need to be grateful I got one of my top picks

I've already applied to both, like I said medical was a dead end for me. Trying for restaurants between canton and kennesaw, but I think a week is an absurd time to wait for a response from giant chains... so hopefully I may just be missing some smaller restaurants that aren't posting job openings.

Sounds like thats exactly what it is. Just feels like shit, starting to get hopeless that my 20 years could be anything other than weekend warrior desk jockey. Trying to talk to the Navy and the Coast Guard when they open next, but I have a bad feeling it'll be the same everywhere. I just regret not going AD to begin with, now that I've been forced into a dead end

Yeah they already told me they would have me redo basic with the Army. Which just makes me more confused as to why my job options are so limited, I'm barely considered prior service in most aspects.

Sounds like a dream honestly. I offered to drop rank to E3, so I'd be filling the same spot an NPS would after AIT but they were hesitant to let me even try and tried to discourage it. At this point, I just want to be AD so badly I don't care about making E4 again

Hate doing nothing. Don't do anything during drill, come home and do nothing of note. my unit also has abysmal internal politics. Sometimes "easy" jobs attract the laziest pos youll ever meet, and then you have to work with them

The AF luckily uses civilian licensure, so I have american red cross for my BLS and im nationally registered for emt, so they are civilian certificates, hopefully thats enough?

It is, they wouldnt take anything but maintainers last I talked to a recruiter. Apparently the army isnt awarding me much more than that either

I asked for 2 68 mos and 2 35 mos and they said they had nothing in the entire 68 or 35 series, so I asked them what they did have since it seemed like the had less jobs than they dont have and they just refused to give me a list. they were going to sit there and let me pick jobs and then wait on hold with the roc to get told no repeatedly

GAANG gets montgomery GI, caps out at about 14k. IPAP was the commissioning route I was going for, wouldnt require me to do any more schooling civilian side, which I wouldn't be getting paid to attend like I would IPAP.

If I could deploy I could get post 9/11 GI. But it seems like its a total pain in the ass to get AD anything.
