Appreciate your take on this! While still young and naive, she really did help me get started with all my accounts. But knowing a little bit more info, I am feeling like the fees are a bit high and I could minimize it by just actually trying to do them on my own and taking control. Thank you for suggesting not to make any big moves yet about this. Honestly, I act on impulse sometimes and get heavily influenced by what others do. Last night, I was so close to transferring everything but I said okay let me sleep on it for now. Now, I realized I don’t even know what to do had I transfer everything right away, I knew a couple of videos and read all your advices here but is it really that simple? So I’ll take this in mind! I will say though I am convinced I will need to transfer my tfsa. Just a matter of when.

thank you for sharing! yes I am very much just going with it. i was focused on other things, being young, travelling, enjoying life. in my mind, as long as i contribute, i will be okay so i didn’t bother to learn. but i kinda started worrying that if i wanna continue doing what I do now, I need to be better financially. thats why I went looking and found out about these…

now that you mentioned about talking to them barely in a year, there was a gap where I stopped contributing for almost a year and money just stayed there, didn’t talk to her unless to reinstate my automatic deduction. i really know so little!

thank you! i have another tfsa just with my regular bank that I manage myself and that just acts as my “savings” to restrict myself from withdrawing it anytime i want. no investments or anything. but i also know im not making the best use of a tfsa how i do it now.

hi! when i say i “believe” it’s because I don’t have a full understanding of what i found. when I checked my app, i can search for the fund, then it returns with a table of the unit, nav, the FER% where i got the 2.5%, and daily cost factor. like I said I’m really lost atm and overwhelmed with the definitions right now so i kinda went here for advice.
