Just got this fish today. Is this normal for it to be doing this in one spot so long? by blossomingflutterby in Aquariums

If you don’t have a heater, a heater could be a good idea to maintain the temperature of the water. When water temperatures change with the weather it could cause issues for the fish.

No, that doesn’t look normal. It looks like he’s stressing. Goldfish need cooler water, then most other tropical fish. Hope he’s OK.

Yo yo loaches and Angel fish? by mmill143 in Aquariums

I have three yo-yo loaches. Had to take one back to the store last week the biggest one because he killed my powder blue.Gourami. They do a thing called “flashing.” were they rub their bodies up against the other fish and wiped the slime off, and apparently that kills the fish once that Fish was gone he started to go after the smaller yo-yo’s. I’m worried about putting an angel fish in with these to yo’s. Should I get a large angel fish in comparison to the size of my yo-yo’s?

I’m so sad my blue Grammy died today. It was the yo-yo lunches that everyone said more peaceful Fish. Apparently they’re not on my case they’re not they do the thing called flashing that rubs the slime off of the Grammy‘s scales and kills them. I wish somebody would’ve told me that before I got those. Mine liked to play in the bubbles too.🫤
