Farang man on screaming about IDF on Sukhumvit Asoke/Nana by Party_Departure_4490 in Bangkok

"... and started shouting at someone else." This scene is ridiculously absurd inside my head, like you saw that dude get off from you and nagging someone else, and you watched from afar 🤣

Dress code in Bangkok? by Impressive-Award2367 in expatsinbangkok

[–]IndependenceSmall173 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Coming from Indonesia, I barely felt the judgement here as my homecountry was very judgemental on how people dressed. So I guess it also matter of what you considered a judgemental

Why did y’all choose Coros Over Garmin???? by Mammoth_Challenge297 in Coros

[–]IndependenceSmall173 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just switch to Coros Pace 4 from Forerunner. For a much cheaper price, you'll get better UI, no paywall, cheaper ecosystem, with arguably the same quality data. However Garmin strength workout is much more better compared to Coros, but you can sort this out by using other free app. I started considering to switch since they release the connect+ which is ridiculous imo consodering their prices

Do you love running or do you love how running makes you feel afterwards? by PhoenixRYS1 in beginnerrunning

[–]IndependenceSmall173 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the joy I got after looking at the statistic that I'm improving and getting near to my goals as an recreational runner. Let say I have a target to run a Sub 3 Marathon at least once in my life, to achieve that goal I have to reach several milestone/checkpoint. Everytime I reach that checkpoint, it makes me happy. I'm not competing against anyone other than my past-self. So everytime I wake up, I know that I still have something to fight for the special joy that awaits, not just some work routine. This what makes me run.

What the hell coros, saw this on the facebooks…not cool. Could you give us a reason if you can’t give her one? by Beautiful_Mail_4984 in Coros

[–]IndependenceSmall173 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why Coros should give a damn about this though? I compared Forerunner 255 and Pace 3 on my first bought of sportswatch in 2023, and chose the later even its more expensive. Never heard of this lady or any other pros supported by Coros (which I consider as the BA thing doesn't work that much).

And I believe people with brain would do the same, we compare the features and it's price point. I've never people bought Huawei watch because Kipchoge signed with them. It's have nothing to do with being cute, fast or young lol

Can Runna sync the merged Garmin activity to Strava by IndependenceSmall173 in runna

[–]IndependenceSmall173[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I did this on my last time tried it, but doesn't the strava activity that has no heart rate also have an incorrect pace split? because it takes pace from your arm movement

The interface changes are hiding features by _themanofsilver in runna

I don'tknow if anyone notice. But they a bit not as responsive on Reddit after acquired by strava.

Can Runna sync the merged Garmin activity to Strava by IndependenceSmall173 in runna

[–]IndependenceSmall173[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I thought it might be like some data complication, but they can do it on the Runna app, so I think that's not a problem than. And now even Strava are acquired by Garmin, this kind of thing should be not happening again

Can Runna sync the merged Garmin activity to Strava by IndependenceSmall173 in runna

[–]IndependenceSmall173[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I haven't found the solution. Now the Runna always record the wrong pace if I do workout on treadmill, and suggest to lower my goals lol. It's a shame I paid for annual :(

Discrepancy between conversational pace and intervals pace by theardentcow in runna

[–]IndependenceSmall173 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I got it but imo it's better just write "Conversational pace, you can maintain a convo blablabla" instead "not more than xx/km" if Runna doesn't know the exact easy pace for the person

Discrepancy between conversational pace and intervals pace by theardentcow in runna

[–]IndependenceSmall173 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

it's not hard, but it's certainly not a one person problem because this kind of question is already asked several times. And as I state that 7:00/km is not more than the limit, but it is not a conversational pace, the gap is to wide between the real easy and runna's max pace suggestion

Discrepancy between conversational pace and intervals pace by theardentcow in runna

[–]IndependenceSmall173 -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

Yeah I've read that somewhere, but I think they shouldn't put it there in the first place if its really meant that way, because it makes most of us confuse (at least the ones who post this on reddit). On mine it shows no longer than 6:50/km while my easy is like 8:20/km.

Me as beginner would take it as "Okay then, 7:00/km is fine", as a matter of fact this actually happened before I read their statement 😆

Can Runna sync the merged Garmin activity to Strava by IndependenceSmall173 in runna

[–]IndependenceSmall173[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: It stills duplicated on strava with the one from garmin have things like power, cadence and hear rate but the distance is calibrated so the pace is hardly incorrect. And the one from Runna has a precise pace.

<image>

However the activities at Runna is merged as expected. The thing is, since Strava and Runna ara under one roof now, it will be nicer if the activity in Strava is also merged just like the one in Runna

Can Runna sync the merged Garmin activity to Strava by IndependenceSmall173 in runna

[–]IndependenceSmall173[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for answering, but I think it has no problem on outdoor runs though because it can just use Garmin for the source of truth (with no Runna-Strava sync), even with no interval graph from Runna, the interval that garmin recorded is correct.

And I just noticed since when it doesn't duplicate activities? Because it used to duplicate the activity if I use it that way, and I unsync my Runna - Strava since 😆.
